Rage quitting ruining game.

Every game I have had today on FT, someone quits. Not AFK. They play a bit, then end up leaving right after dying, or just giving up.

These are not disconnects.

It also leads into the game not working anymore and the entire lobby closing out. They must have been the lobby host?

Is something eventually going to be done about people sabotaging lobbies with their selfish behaviors?

This is beyond frustrating.

Would appreciate either the folks who stay in the game, be rewarded, or WASTE these quitters time, for wasting ours?

SOMETHING PLEASE.

Before this become too much of a “norm”.

Unless battle royale players are just used to quitting out of games, that they don’t see how much of a DISADVANTAGE leaving a team handicapped is?

ANYTHING PLEASE

I had some kid say to me I rage quitted because there was one guy left, we literally got to our first mission and he killed 2 of us because the Ai swarmed the shit out of us. Then when I died, there was guy left and he had got downed, so I left because I knew the guy didn’t have a self revive and there was literally no vertanium in it for me.

Then I spat out some solid truth, I said “if you were downed and you was detonating, would you stay around too?”.

I’m not sure how this can be fixed. FT are more prone to quitting out as they know they only have a short wait to get into another match.

Perhaps there could be a penalty like a deduction in XP or V, but there are complications with both those ideas.

Played a match yesterday where I took down one guy at around 3 or 4 minutes in (so not even right at the start of the game), and he all of a sudden comes on mic just to say WTF?! then quits before I can claim. He really sounded as if he was expecting not to be downed unless it was at the exfill or something!

Need to reduce the reinforcements timer. This would help, a lot. Might even incentivize that specialization perk for it (imagine almost instant reinforcements? Hell I might run that).

The only real way I see punishing it is for repeated offenses. Like 3 or maybe more in a day. I think the biggest worry is if the punishment is too harsh people will just stop playing and nobody wants that

That I agree with.

Any amount of “standing in purgatory or in a line”, ppl get bored and lose interest. Which we do enough of looking for a game. Let alone doing it within the match itself. (Understanding there are modes with one and done life cycles).

Reducing the reinforce time would be a huge incentive, at least making your purgatory friends think there is more of a chance being reinforced.

I wouldn’t say that would help tbh, I personally normally wait till there is 2 or 3 members missing before I call reinforcements, because to me that makes it worth it but calling it for one dead guy is a waste, which is why the people who die early leave when they play with me.

Nerf Pred, buff FT.

Oh no I’m not arguing that. Pred has a domino effect though. Drop one FT the rest start falling easy when you’re down to 2, one should be breaking for the radio. As it stands now, half the time there’s only one left and the radio has just been unlocked to activate.

If they made the missions longer or made it so as you couldn’t call for exfill until a certain time had passed, you might get fewer Preds rushing in going for quick kills, and thus perhaps fewer quits on the FT side, as most of the time when an FT has quit it is because they’ve be taken out right at the start of the match.

Of course you’d still get some Preds using quick pressure/kills as a tactic specifically to incite randoms to quit and thus make a win more likely, but you’d stop those who feel they have no choice to do this because of the FT’s ability to speed run through many maps/missions.

I would say making the reinforcement station invisible until reinforcements are needed would be helpful, it’s too easy as Pred to find the station then trap it and camp it out.

That’s another, totally different argument.

I rarely run traps or bother with the radio. When I’m FT though and heading for the radio, you hear the traps as you approach, spray bullets until the noise stops and hit the radio. Easy peasy

I know but as Illfonic caters towards pub lobbies, you have many potatoes who run straight into them lol.

Oh I know. I did a whole tutorial series and dedicated a part to that for that reason lol. Can lead a horse to water but if he don’t drink he don’t drink

Pred shouldn’t even be capable to get info when and where the reinforcements ara being called nor the chopper extraction. That’s why target isolation is for…

don’t kill them right away. make a habit of downing them, let them be picked up, down them again, go for stealth kills.

Given vs good teams reinforcements can be too dangerous to be allowed I disagree.

As for the chopper it’s kind of the same thing.
It’s way too easy to complete the mission.
Its honestly just a game mechanic to give pred one last chance to win.

Iso isnt that great.

Dude this has been the norm for me since last year.
I’m pretty sure it’s been the norm for most good preds tbh.

Literally I’ve had ppl quit after I kill them since June last year.

So to implement a punishment now I think it’s too late.
A better approach would be to add unique cosmetics that require you to stay.

Ppl will put up with all kinds of bullshit for shiny.

I’m just referring to Pred logics. Not that is a real threat. Never ever the Predaor had the ability to scan radio transmissions.
At least those abilities should be perk based, not custom.
