Ranking.

PHG needs a Ranking System to know who we are playing with and what we are playing against.

Each Player could have a Card, presenting the following Information:

  • How many missions has he participated;
  • How many Missions He Completed;
  • What percentage of damage does it cause to predators;
  • What percentage of AI soldiers does he slaughter;
  • How many AI soldiers has he killed;
  • How many times has He Been Killed in Mission;
  • The date of the last mission he participated in;
  • Etc.

And for Predators it would be Similar.

  • How many hunts has he done;
  • How many FT soldiers has he shot down;
  • What percentage of team slaughtering do they have;
  • how many times he was shot;
  • How many AI soldiers has he killed;
  • How many Claims He has already made;
  • The date of the last hunt he did;
  • Etc.

Thus, the System could Balance a Strong Team to Confront a Strong Predator.

For general info this is good but how would you balance a team with so many variables with differing values.

A smurf account may have low wins but that doesn’t mean they’re bad.

Depending on how the numbers work as well a bad Preds, and strong FT members might actually hurt your your score.

I think keeping it at a simple mmr number that goes up in a win and goes down on a loss.

I like it in theory, because nobody likes to go into a match and be annihilated but I’m not sure if this game has the player count to support it.
I also think that some people’s attitudes to losing may get even worse if their stats are on display.

Come on my friend, You don’t have to be a Genius to check the Players’ Statistics, and have a Reference of the Quality of who is playing with you and what Predator is Hunting Your Team.

“Ah, but the person hasn’t played for more than 2 months.”
You just have to see the Reference of how many Missions or Hunt He has done, and
their level of achievement during Missions and Huntings.

The Good thing about doing this, is the Game to select Players with Similar Statistics, to have a Balance, and consequently a Good Team against a Good Predator.

They should implement this when they raise the level cap and restart everyone back to level 0

Let the smurfs rule the noobs

Like what Pred kills? What about support players?

What if you have a guy with really high % stats but low match counts? How would they mesh with players with high % counts and high match counts?

Plus how would you prioritised stats, which stat would be more important, what quality does each stat have?

Also that’s an important thing to keep in Mind.

Keep in mind it’s a computer doing this which needs each factor to be defined.

And what about

Come on buddy, Help me!.
Share the Idea!.
I think it would be very cool just to make the game more competitive.
People wanting to assume the post of Best Predator, or Best Soldier.
If the Player does not have Good Statistics, Just Play.
The practice that leads to Perfection.

So buddy, but I think the level doesn’t really make much difference in the game …
Unfortunately.
As long as the game is already active, getting everyone back to level zero would make no difference.
I think what really counts is the Game Experience and its Style of Play.
Today, More Experienced Players, know the Strategic Points on the Maps, how to better use each Class of Predator and Soldier, how to Run each Mission more quickly, to have a Greater Chance to Complete the Mission, which Weapons do the most damage to Predators , which advantages and equipment are Really Useful.
That counts a lot when starting a game.
I think the coolest thing about this idea, is actually the Machine making a more filtered selection of who is playing, to build better teams, to face better predators.

Friend, I mentioned some statistics that could be addressed.

Of those that I mentioned, I believe that for Soldiers, the most important would be the percentage of damage that the Predator receives from that Player.

Because You End up seeing how much the Player Risks to face the Predator.

And for predators, I believe that the best statistic is the number of claims they have.

You end up seeing how effective this player is as a predator.

  • I say Percentage, but in some cases, Average can be used.

Although the Person has not played for a while, their Numbers and Statistics cannot be Ignored.

But that is precisely why the idea is.
With a Ranking, and Balanced Statistics, there is no way to harm yourself.
You will be in a Team at the height of the Predator you are facing.

That would be great. Not sure if it could be used for balancing purposes, but it would be a cool way to display your accomplishments.

Not a bad idea for general balancing.

Absolutely, but not necessarily a bad thing.

But what about support players?

What about players that do the OBJ while the rest of the team chases the Pred?

What if the Pred kills himself?

Shooting the Pred in the back as he claims some one isn’t something I’d call a risk.

A. I can kill an entire squad without claiming

B. Even if we changed claim to killed then we have a problem as that means that the Pred is now incentivised to let the FT respawn

The Predator is incentivised to do worse. That’s not good.

Not to mention the FT can screw the Pred over by simply not reinforcing at all.

Yes there is.

It’s called playing support for your team.

I.E the guy who clears A.I and does OBJ so the rest of the team can kill the Pred.

I think it’d be good for ranked too.

It’s very simple.

Win or lose no middle ground

Plus it doesn’t punish certain playstyles or hurt your score because you went up against a bad team and can’t farm them for points (looking at you dbd)

Well, it’s a good thing if they have an internal reason to better thrmselves i suppose. But I was more referring to verbal abuse to team mates (when it’s probably going to be their own fault anyway) or the pred for dying. I dunno about you, but for me that’d be one more reason for me to not stick around.

On the contrary pard, they could add a plethora of new unlockables making resetting everyone to zero well worth it

Understood. Good point.

Why does everyone who sucks need to be spoon feed information. A ranking system will not help this game

Hahaha god dam spoon fed mofos. I dont think its going to help either.

Right. I get all my info from the scoreboard and gameplay. After the 1st encounter I know how a team will handle or how a pred will fair this match.
