Im sure these 1v4 shooter tourney comebacks or something like that are pretty hyped in shooter history. Takes skill too.
Rebalancing idea
I’ll agree with that. The major problem here is that this is a team based game from FT side. Hard to balance when 80% of the field does not play as a team. Preds have a field day by just using melee.
But whatever, i would like Illfonic to just blindly try some balancing changes that are from the community. For science. Original draft for two weeks and then adjustments for two more weeks. Then they can go back to whatever it was after a month if there’s too much complaining
Insane! A millisecond either way and the Ken player would’ve lost, absolute MadLad!!! And then to get that combo out…fuckin epic finish. Deserved the win. Chun Li player overplayed due to overconfidence that the Ken player had a pube’s worth of health left. Kudo’s to the Ken player for keeping focused and finishing the dude with finesse.
That looks WAAAY easier than damn near any fighting game.
Please, tell me, what about looking at your enemy, and them dying so easily, how is that a huge indicator of skill?
I look at that evo moment, and I dont know how many people could pull that off, in that scenario.
I look at the video that you sent and I see it being possible for anyone, with a bit of practice.
And melee doesnt work like it used to, good or bad teams.
It leaves you wide open so it’s too risky. Not enough reward.
And I mainly mean using a full melee combo.
Which people hate for some reason.
Ft can hold down one button to attack but GOD forbid pred traps one button like them.
I just wish people, saw that they have a bias and prefer shooters and that’s why they hate melee and think its braindead, no skill, ect.
Youd think with how much I defend melee that I’m a melee focus pred, but honestly I’ve always mixed my attacks up, from caster to melee, whatever fit the situation better.
I can’t see myself focusing only one thing.
But just like theres bow hoppers out there, I know there would be melee masters out there, and I’d LOVE to see them skillfully take down an entire ft with their mastered play style.
BUT, that’s not limited to melee.
I’d love to see an expert summoner,
And expert trapper, an expert stealth player.
I’d love to see more playstyles.

There’s potential, but you see that they’re having a hard enough time at the basic level. I’d they add the stuff that you want, the game will be crashing all the time and they’ll just give up; it’s this or nothing
Really Fire? I’ve loved Street Fighter since the 80s when I used to play the original arcade version at the Amusements Centre. I’ve spent so much time on the arcade versions (and money), swapped my Mega-Drive(Genesis) for a SNES just so I could play Street Fighter 2. I haven’t played it seriously since late 90s, but I did download StreetFighter 4 on PS4, we even had a few fuck-around matches I believe (because I got a trophy when I did something when you were on with me)?
I may not know all the modern moves, characters and metas but I do know that that dude somehow not only managed to break being parry-locked but execute one hell of a combo finish within nanosecond window of opportunity. Zen-like calm, preternatural focus and laser precision…“that ain’t human!” lol
Once I’ve worked through the new content on Division 2, I’ll reinstall SF4 and get training. Then we will have a showdown ;)

How there ISN’T some grab/hold mechanic yet is beyond belief, the basic mechanics and animations are there already (Long Claims) so why they have been unable to develop that further to an actual executionable function is kinda a testament to the quality we are having to deal with.

I think I basically said that I know it’s too much for the game, so that’s why I just tell people and not make post in feedback.
The only things I would ask for are projectile guns,
Bugs and performance fixes,
And 2v8 hunt.

Id only ask for 2 v 8. Pred communication will flesh out a lot more option for pred. Double slams for example. Misdirection. Creating separation, etc. FT is fast, but preds leaping can cover more ground and either separate or join up at a whim. Sound decoys would be more useful too.
It would liven up the game.
And I didnt even think about double slams lmao.
It would, but i also imagine it being a disaster in pubs. FTs dying left and right. Q times showing ‘not tonight, bub’ signs. It would be a lot of fun for sure.
Imagine preds locking down FT within a smaller building with only two outs. Would be some scary sheet for sure.
