I will say that that fireteam was pretty garbo. But them cooling syncs tho… man that does look pretty strong not gonna lie. Especially if that guy also knew about the slam animation cancel that stuff would be absolutely brutal.

Looking to the movies as reference and source material, Predators do not have leap slams. At all. Let alone leap slams that act like a grenade explosion combined with a flashbang. It’s garbage that was not added in thoughtfully and is being exploited as the new “meta” because it is so easy to exploit. Unlike the Shoulder Cannon that gives an indicator via the lasers that you need to move or take massive damage, the Leap Slam gives no warning at all.

I don’t think they need to remove the leap slam. Just making some changes and prevent exploits.
The only thing that bother me with the slam, is the fact that when preds jump on roof top, it damage player hidding inside houses.

Back to topic, yeah leap is strong, but it leaves you open. And those guys suck. So I Dont see the problem. It doesn’t need to go.

Interesting idea, what if they made it to where predator couldnt leap after a slam till his energy overload was done? Would that make it more balanced? I dont know if they will straight up remove it but it’s worth asking I guess.
Well they’re definitely using other source material too. The comics, etc. I think they really just wanted to give the Predator abilities that makes its gameplay standout as much as possible.
I personally don’t think everything needs a warning. I mean, FT has things they can do they doesn’t let the Predator know it’s about to happen. 🤷🏻♂️
I can definitely see cases where itd be pretty strong. But I’m just looking at the video like, if that were me in that match with my Yajutas bane SAWZ-50, theres no way hed be able to sit still that long to contemplate where to leap, hed be shot in the head, put into second wind, and I’d pick up the revives while hed be healing. But the fact that you can leap away after a slam like that is pretty damn strong to a predator that knows what hes doing combined with the animation cancel, I will admit.

The difference is that the Fireteam cannot kill the Predator in 2 trigger pulls. Ttk with this exploit is ridiculous given the direct engagement time- meaning the time that the Predator is actually exposed to danger while performing the Leap Slam
I fought against some berserkers with combistick that spammed the slam… There’s such trashy preds out there. I mean people playing like that have 0 skills, and I wonder where they find some fun in playing like that. The good side of the story is that even when exploiting everything he could, we still spanked his ass before he rage quitted like the retard kid he was.

If the Leap Slam is truly the difference between the Predator being weak or not that says it all- the LS is OP and either needs to be nerfed or removed until it is reworked properly

I’ve got all the movies. Watched them all many times, including recently. The Predator commonly excercises use of stealth to succeed. They are not invulnerable, and in every movie they die by the end when presented with a significant challenge from skilled humans that are aware of their presence and roughly aware of their abilities. Up to that point, sure they get a lot of easy kills against poorly matched enemies that don’t have a clue what they’re up against. But they do not “easy kill all”
