Remove the three DBNO requirement for stealth kills

I mean I agree tbat doing it more than once, the surprise/effect is gone.

Tieing to trapping/baiting I think could work really well. In a later on 2v1, 3v1, or the initial 4v1.

Even when the player base knows how it works specifically.

Something like this would require the Pred do less walking noise, sprinting stomps are fine but if you walk, evenly poorly cloaked, will still work on sneaking up on the helper(s) but hearing stomps would just make you stop and spray and pray immediately.

Then again the leap would fine if the game had a “magnetic” pull with the prompt but that also may split hairs on whether not it’s fair to get an auto tracked free kill.

Im not too big on the idea of leaping behind an enemy and insta killing them. So when I speak about assassinations, I think of something more along the line of sneaking into a building and catching a player holding an angle, or doing an objective, both of which would have them likely standing still.

This is of course on the principle of stealth buffs that I suggested in my super post, one of which is perfect invis when crouch walking. So when I speak about assassination kills, that is the vision I have.

When it comes to leaping, there could be something done to stop it, like you cant initiate a stealth kill for 5 seconds after a leap. Standard stuff. Shouldnt be too hard.

I think leaping works well because its silence and ability from a tree looking up.

A pause for few seconds would kill it either. 2-4 seconds is alot of time tl react to a call out.

Thing is, I don’t the game can handle being more intricate than that, I don’t think its build for, there’s alot to work with but its all very basic machanics. I dont think its capable of much more

Yes, I agree, I like leaping. Just saying that any sort of stealth kill right after a leap leaves a lot of room for abuse

Eh the foundation is there. There is a metric ton of work to be done though no doubt. But I think they can do it.

Downing them to their last revival, and having low health triggers the prompt.

Just low health? Or does it need a DBNO to happen too?

The major abuse would be if it could happen more than once. Which if it were changed around, it definitely needs a limit regardless of how much more though it needs.

As for your faith in them, I hope you’re right. The level of intricacies and polish it would require pushes it into AAA studio ground, frankly, I’m not sure they have the tools or manpower for it.

Well what we have in game right now tells me they have the manpower. Its rough as fuck no doubt. But its there. They just don’t have the person at the head of it all guiding that manpower in the right direction. This games biggest flaw is its poor design choices.

lol no offense but those guys were kinda braindead. I mean if your idea of stealth is running in front of the fireteam and dropping traps etc. It does work. But all pred did in this was stand still and abuse the FT while they were bear trapped, which tbh if it was a good fireteam they would have seen that smart disc go right back to pred. I dont consider this “stealth” though. because had pred not been using bear traps he would not have been able to pull these sorts of shenanigans.

So yes they were braindead… and yes… how are you supposed to have {balance} with braindead players?

Stealth kills should be on 3 knock downs.

Speed up… slow it down then speed it up

I dont want a ranked mode. just as personally I dont like crossplay being disabled nor private matches being rewarding. I dont want anything that can divide the playerbase further.

What I do want is a stealthier, but overall weaker in terms of health predator. I want a predator that has to actually be sneaky, and not rely on spamming melee the second his stealth is broken.

I want a game where the slightest modicum of skill on the FT side cant completely destroy the whole point of playing predator.

Skill should play a factor. But the problem is that the game is clearly balanced around very bad players. Which is okay. But as soon as skilled players get involved the cracks begin to show.

Im not saying the game is “Bad” but it is severely flawed.

So yes while stealth is “Possible” For most matches, the second you get even one player on FT that focuses on finding predator, he will find you no matter where you go really. And as such, so will the rest of the FT.

Im not asking for god mode predator. No one wants that. But predator should be a serious threat. Predator should be so stealthy that he is hard to predict, unlike now. Pred should have more focus on what makes pred pred. I have a whole super post about it.

all ideas are welcome. the only things i want fixed is spotting… Anyone can spot but your not highlighted in green. They can spam spot as well since it actually messes up there vision. Redesign recon to do 5 percent more dmg on primary weapon and muddy up stays. While scout is fast and smgs are good on him or pistols.

Predator walk is quiet… Run stays the same.
If player is below half hp you can stealth kill… (I think this is fair)

1.07 discussion and I have each other linked on our posts. He focuses much more on the smaller details, as well as a lot of the quality of life stuff and actual numbers. Which is great, and I definitely hope the devs look at it just as much as mine. My post is far more focused on the big picture however. Trying to reforge the game into what it should be, and break it away from what it is. To try and fix the game overall, because at the end of the day, it doesnt matter how much they iron out bugs and rebalance what we have. what we have just isnt what a predator game should be. and until thats fixed I dont believe that this game will last much longer.

Its maps bugs and variety… It just feels old doing the same shit every game. The feel of the game is fluid enough.

I don’t agree with everything in 1.07 thread… But the flash part of the slam needs to go away. I had ideas of hanging people in trees and traps that sling them up in the trees and the FT have to cut them down. A hung FT member cannot be killed for 1.5 min. Melee parry is just a parry not a complete stun for the predator… It just allows the FT member to dodge.

Alot of the changes in 1.06 were bandaid solutions to try and stent the bleeding before the game dies. I agree, alot of them should be changed.

Predator have more enemies in this game right now, not only fireteam… Sometimes it seems like the maps isnt even designed for predator cause even some shitty rock can stop your movement and then u look like idiot and get melted
