Mass I was doing tests for that just now and I have 0 frame rate difference low vs High settings, on Epic/Hig mix settings frame rate goes down but so insignificantly that I can’t notice, all Cinematic settings and frame rate is about 20… is there any specific setting you are interested in?

Cool, no just the Post-Processing (the one that adds depth of field which on the higher level adds film grain).
Are you talking about Effects? Yeah, im assuming they will do something significant for the smoke gren. last i checked.

(Understanding some folks can’t pump out incredible graphics due to mechanical potential of their rigs and optimization being all over the place with PHG, but people actively avoiding to raise their graphics on purpose is hilarious).
Even if it did provide an advantage to play on low graphical settings, just so darn ugly to look at

Why is it hilarious?
A lot of pc players value performance over image quality. That’s why they play on high refresh rate monitors.
If you ask any pc player why they play on low graphics, and they respond “because I want to get as many fps as possible” you should accept that answer and not see it as them trying to have an advantage over other players.
Same goes for players who use surround sound headsets, high dpi mouse…etc
PC is a whole different world, we’re not restricted the way you guys are on console. The reality is whoever has the most expensive and better hardware is going the have the advantage.
A pc player playing on 144hz monitor is going to have advantage over one playing on a 60hz monitor, one with a 3080 GPU is going to have advantage over one with a 2080 GPU. Everything about PC gaming is objective.
Cause @SkooLBoY_SkePtiK didnt purpose this thread to be an “attack” on people that utilize said graphics.
He literally posted pictures side by side, stating there is a “difference”. Not insinuating anything.

But I’m not directing this to him. I’m responding to you saying that lowering pc graphics is hilarious as if pc players are obligated to play at the highest settings possible.
It is because you’re telling me its a “Hardware race” while people aren’t allowing their machine to perform at its maximum settings, even if it can.
Why have all the power to run the game properly, then choose to dim the settings?

No… those that have capable rigs.
I am more than aware MOST rigs cant properly play this game.

Definitely there is, depending on what settings you choose on PC it could look better or worse.

I can only speak for myself. I play on high settings and I’m happy with getting 90fps (capped) even tho I have a 144hz monitor.
