Well in some games, thatā€™s true, if you have 60Hz monitor.
In games like Counter Strike, you can clearly see the difference while playing when you have 60 fps and letā€™s say 200 on the same monitor.

I was going to make a similar point. As long as you can track the predator when they leap, more frames doesnā€™t really help much. At 30 frames, itā€™s not quite enough, but at 60 frames itā€™s already more than enough.

It doesnā€™t matter if you could or not, Iā€™m just stating how it is with Counter Strike as an example. People who play it on competitive level, they chase fps above 200, but if you play it for a few hours every week, you probably wonā€™t care about that and youā€™ll stick with 60.

If I paid a bunch of money for a computer that could run more than 60 frames, Iā€™d probably say the same thing too.

Itā€™s probably marketing that convinces people that they need so many frames per second to play video games.

Iā€™ve played counter strike (although Iā€™ve always preferred day of defeat) for many years
