Brutal bro, Brutal 👍😎 I started sweating for you when you went into the building and almost got second winded, brought back some PTSD of getting body blocked and knifed to death in the early days 😥😲

Welcome to the Samurai clan! That was some outstanding work, especially that very first combi throw! Relentless pressure and claiming the skull in front of the whole team like that was awesome 🤣👌🏼💯

Nothing to feel bad about😈 For too long our Yautja brothers and sisters have been terrorised by these humans so it falls down to us, the Samurai Predators, to bring death upon our enemies and restore the honour to our clans👺
Great work👌🏼💯

Yeah I normally would never do that. I knew walking up the steps that one was all alone and it was the only reason I tried it. Damn near got me down too.

I went with impenetrable over height advantage because I intended to be heavy melee and not use the trees as much. You are right though out of the two height advantage is better. Ascender was literally thrown in cuz I was like “I have never used this perk. Let me see what it does”. It was a one off that will be discarded

So, considering that the Samurai class has been given some decent buffs and is no longer at the bottom of the pile, I’m thinking of adding some conditions to the challenge for this coming Sunday, with the focus being on honourable gameplay;

  1. If you down a Fireteam member, you either claim the trophy or allow them to be revived. The Katana stealth kill is one of the most brutal animations in the game, so make it a goal to achieve at least one.

  2. Do not attack players while they are locked in an interaction such as objectives (turning water valves being a prime example) or reviving teammates.

  3. When the Fireteam are overwhelmed with AI, do not engage them. Wait until there are only two or three AI left before you begin your attack. Let the AI waste their resources such as ammo and stims, so triggering camp alarms will still be of benefit to your approach.

Too restrictive?

Well…that’s a challenge alright.
The reviving teammate part is the only one I feel is a little too restrictive.

I figure that if you can have good enough LOS on a downed Fireteam member to use him as bait, you could just as easily wait until he’s been revived then quickly down him again or down the person who revived them. What’s the first thing FT does when they get revived? Pop a Syrette, so it’s another way of depleting their resources and also one down closer to the Stealth Kill state. I believe it’s 3 downs and they become Stealth Killable.

It’s also meant to break people out of the habit of downing a player, and using them as bait to down players trying to revive them because it seems to be the go-to tactic every Predator player uses and it’s pretty much meta at this point. Most Predator Hunting Grounds gameplay on YouTube is literally the same thing; Predator uses bow, downs one player, arrow spams anyone trying to revive, game over.

Eh, I get where you’re at. I usually switch to plasma at that point and start peppering to soften the FT doing the revive personally. Provided no one has the wherewithal to provide cover for their teammates.

Not going to lie I use this tactic as well, its very effective and reduces a lot of variables that would lead to a loss but I agree we should change it up a bit to keep things fresh! CHALLENGE ACCEPTED VENN!!

Damn, my bad guys. I’ve forgotten to update the challenge conditions.

Basically, avoid relying on downed FT players to get kills via beartraps. If you down a FT, either claim their skull or allow the revive. If a FT is locked in an animation for an objective (such as turning water valves, which take a long ass time) do not attack.

Just try to be more honourable like a Samurai should be. I’ll try and get a video up today, but my new controller hasn’t arrived and the one I’m using has the worst stick drift which fucks with my disc throws and other stuff, plus my L2 is bugging🙄

Good luck guys💯

So I got 2 vids otw the first is an “old tactic” example and the 2nd is my best attempt to meet the challenge as it was when last we discussed but I will try to meet it 100% by the days end 😈😎

Submit them all👌🏼💯 Once I’ve refined the challenge conditions I’ll probably start a new thread so people don’t get confused, and just put a link to this one in their for historical purposes.

Just waiting to get a match now. I’m going to try my best with this broken ass controller. On Fireteam it’s manageable, but it can be a real issue in the heat of battle when my camera starts spinning or L2 doesn’t register when I want to quick shot a caster.

Gotta go do adult stuff for a bit 😒 BUT I will get some more vids up today!
In the meantime enjoy 😎

Awesome, I’ll check them now.

Oh, and to clarify about interactions, this excludes Reinforcement Radio. Unless you want them to reinforce that is😏
