SHOCK GAUNTLET SPAMMERS: SOLUTION

As everyone knows, the new predator weapon is the Shock Gauntlet. It can stun an entire team even when they are protected by a wall. The Predator can simply do it several times, without colddown, until all FT members are dead.

Everyone already knows the real purpose: Sell DLCs.

So what to do to avoid this kind of situation??

Do as I do. As soon as you realize the Predator is using the shock gauntlet, just leave the match.

Stop wasting your time.

Let the Predator have fun killing the BOTs, get into another lobby and try again.

¿Qué hacer entonces para evitar esta situación?

Haz lo que yo hago. En cuanto te des cuenta de que el Depredador está usando el Guantelete de Choque, simplemente abandona la partida.

No pierdas el tiempo.

Deja que el Depredador se divierta matando a los bots, ve a otra sala y vuelve a intentarlo.

You can literally counter it by just being coordinated & having good aim.

Don’t bunch up too much as a team to avoid having multiple people get stunned by the Shockwave, and when the Predator moves in to attack the single player who has been stunned, land all your shots. If everyone lands most of their shots, the Predator will get second winded or forced to retreat before they can even secure the kill most of the time, and that’s assuming you’re actually going against a good Pred. Most people don’t have a clue what they are doing with it & get melted anyway.

You can just blast people from under the helipad on HQ, on top. Forcing them to fall into the waters below. Teams of camping medics are reduces to ashes by sound waves alone. It’s brilliant. Just don’t over-use it.

I literally said you can kill campers with this weapon. What part of that confuses you, and makes you think I believe the opposite should be true?

If I’m being honest, I think the range of the blast needs to be at least cut in half.

For example, you should not be able to push all four players off of the helicopter ropes with one blast.

Other than that, I think it nice that they’re introducing weapons with group disrupting effects like pushing and pulling.

In the meantime, I’ll be enjoying the shock gauntlet as my last ditch tool at the helicopter or to troll more cohesive teams, especially players that try to abuse roof tops.

Preds finally get something decent that gives them an advantage and immediately people want it nerfed. How quickly we forget how stupidly overpowered the FT is and how Preds need every advantage they can get.

Don’t forget that most players are not very good, and we need 4 Fireteam players for every 1 Predator to hunt.

If the general FT player base feels like they’re getting bullied by one weapon, they’re not going to stick around.

I get bullied by the Sawz. And the 1011-12. And the minigun. And the PDLs. And the Hammerhead. God forbid FT gets bullied by a sonic fist.

I get it, and I’m still pissed the Sawz never got its damage nerfed, but at least these weapons require aiming. It’s nearly impossible to miss with shock gauntlet .

I guess they should bring their asses to the meta (thanks for writing the character guide btw!). Though funny you say that, I got thrashed by the same squad in pubs like 5 times before fully wiping them (felt gooooooooooooooooood). To be fair though it seems that I get harder pubs then everyone else here. Probably timezones?

The only thing that makes it “broken” is the actual stun. I like the fact that it can disrupt the group. But if on top of that you are stunned, it leaves you defenseless which is never a good thing.

Yeah. I still think it has too much range, but maybe just applying the stun while your air born and allowing you to immediately run when you hit the ground would balance things out.
