Theres a million things that can be analyzed, but like I said, I’m going off what’s seen in fiction a lot of the time.
Either way if were purely focusing on the game, it has about the radius of the grenades and rockets, plus I think the pc blast do less damage than those 2 even charged?
That being the case I think its balanced.
If we lower the radius then it should hit harder.

Although, now that I’m thinking way too hard about this, one could argue, from a realism standpoint, the area around the plasma would be very hot and would do some AOE damage, but certainly not through walls or other surfaces.

FACTS the boys and me casually played around 8 matches last night

8 matches b2b each lasted no more than around 7-8 min we weren’t even actively hunting the Preds down, kind of the opposite we were goofing off, but any time the Preds engaged we either outright killed them or beat them back until they pushed too hard and then killed them, we didn’t lose a single one and most of the time we don’t period. every once in a while we’ll get rocked by a Great Pred but even then over half of the time one of us still gets away on the chopper.
Even if we don’t run The FT Flush the ratio of matches we lose is miniscule.
And the main reason is that in almost any situation the Pred just can’t put enough damage on the FT in relation to how quickly and how much damage we can put on him.

I run my Elder with Dithered, Adrenal, Mod Res.
But he’s a bare bones build and also Bright Red
So all he uses is the SPC and WB but even still I don’t spam uncharged shots I try to get direct hits or as close to as possible with FC shots then rush in and do some quick slashes while repositioning. And against a even a decent 4 stack premade its a very High Risk High Reward Strat against a death squad its a ROUGH fight.

Going by realism, no FT should be able to shrug off a swipe from wrist blades. I demand one hit blades 🤣

lolol nah not op at all, at that point a pred who dont use the plasma caster, the bow, or the damn combistick is :
A: a new comers
B: is underrestimating the FT squad he is facing
C: know that you are trash and can beat you with the worst tools/classes
right now because of the FT OP stat predator are forced to go with only one meta : Bow/combistick Quick medic,iron back, down range on city hunter or Jungle hunter, and if you love plasma spam you go full on elder, but that about it on the FT side however you can play ANY weapon and ANY classes because of the sheer damage/adavantage that you have (hi specialization and yautja bane.) and you can still beat the predator.

Movies also imply that the predator can die from four fucking shots, stop saying “The movies this, movies that.” If they were true any one and every one would die from AI in like two shots.
That’s a good point, FT needs a buff to be accurate to the lore.

Depends on where it hits on the body. Also needs a seriously large decrease on splash damage as we see Arnie getting a shot directly next to his head onto a tree and taking no damage.

As I told schoolboi, this looks like a different caster than thr one on the movie, so I feel the splash damage should stay.
But if were going full movie, then lock on and one shot pretty much anywhere if it makes direct contact.
I’d love to see ft losing limbs.

That and destroying the guns as well.

It’s intended to be the same plasmacaster as the plasmacaster model for all Preds is the same as the Jungle Hunter '87 plasmacaster, which is the one that is in the movie and Illfonic is on record saying they are trying to balance the game around Pred 1 and 2.
It should only be 1-shot if it hits in the head or center mass. Dillon survives his first shot, after all.
