Sigh....

No. More crimes that you see in the news (school/mass shootings, domestic terrorism, domestic violence, etc) are done mostly with legal guns. Crimes in the ghettos (the shit you never see in the news but that make up for about 85% of actual gun crime) is done with illegal guns.

To an extent. They don’t make people cheat and use exploits. Game is playable without that stuff. But they do have a responsibility to fix the game. It’s a bit of a non-sequeter on your end, but regardless, illfonic should fox the game or shut it down and offer partial compensation or something. I guess that why they won’t shut the game down.

is not even as hard bro. like literally the vast majority of bugs and exploits they can address easily. Stuff like what aston is doing doesn’t even need to be addressed because is not that common at all.

Having EAC branded on the game and not being actually implemented is also false advertisement and grounds for legal action if someone is willing to sue.

Huh? It doesn’t matter if they were in or over speed limit. It is always fault of the one who hit the car from behind. He was supposed to keep safe distance. That is even written in law.

Here we usually don’t call cops if there are no injured. We just write down insurance numbers and contacts. Then insurance company pay the damage from mandatory driver’s insurance to the one who was hit. The other one who was not able to brake in time may get covered costs from his optional car insurance.

So it is driver’s fault, not car manufacturer fault.

who upholds the law and make sure it is followed? what happens if the responsible party doesn’t have insurance?

Agreed, but we all know thats not going to happen. They are 3 games down the line and supposedly those games are cleaner so they learned something. Phg was a pet project or a learning experience for them.

Then there is general insurance institute. You get paid repairs by them and they then sue the one who did the damage.

Oh… so someone makes sure who ever was at fault actually comply with the law…

As I said, the law is simple. You are supposed to drive such speed and keep safe distance to be bale always brake and stop before you hit something.

There may be assholes who brake check. For that reason is good to have windshield camera. Then you can call cops, show them footage and they will consider if that was really braking check. If so, then you are not responsible and the one who brake checked you pays and gets fine.

Oh, and there are cars with better brakes and with poor brakes. It is upon driver to know how his car behaves and keep the safe distance. It is not manufacturer’s fault if the car in front have better brakes than then car behind. If you hit someone with better brakes who was able to decelerate faster, then it is still your fault not knowing how your car brakes.

@JelouGaming is correct. Illfonic bares some of the blame. But also, there is personal responsibility from players. Doesn’t mean that they have to hack and break the game just to show Illifonic’s fault. Like he said, there was a legal course of action, but I guess it didn’t amount to much. Most players just move on, as upset as they are.

It would be nice if they had some responsibility, but they don’t have almost any. Read the licence… they sell you product as-is. It was playable so it can’t be considered as scam. You played the game for more than year, so it was playable. Even they don’t have to, they would probably return you money if you returned the game before year of usage, just to avoid going to court.

They held moral responsibility… which is name of their company. It is their consideration what they do… they made few people upset about the quality of game. Do you think people at Sony care about it? Probably not as the game made required income in the contract and then they don’t even remember there was such a game. Illfonic get some money and month after they released the game, they focused on another game. By now they are developing another game. I highly doubt they care much about long term quality as they focus on contracting with big names. It is important what is written in contract. If they fulfill it and generate expected income then they are perfect company to deal with. The players are just people who send them money, the end. As long there aren’t newspaper titles that they fucked up something really bad, then for companies like Sony they are perfect partner. In other words it is not their game… it is one of games they developed, get paid and move on, there are many more games awaiting to be written for big companies.

P:HG will never get any better, it is abandoned project for Illfonic. Only change of developer would make a change.

Fair point, but thats a bigger issue. Devs should be held to a higher standard or it should be explicitly clear that upkeep has a limited lifetime (not some agreement to read through). I think they also promised certain things on the forum and didn’t deliver or explain while still selling the game and dlcs.

In business money always talk.

Make a game is really though. It requires a lot of very skilled people. Imagine how many people are required to build a block of flats. Most of workers have just basic education level. For game you need almost everyone with university degree. With building you have exact plans, you know exactly what will be needed and how long it will take to build, because it was build many times before. Yet there are numerous problems… just look in the news about some fucked up building. Now imagine for game you have some overal idea how it should work. If you are lucky you have same team of people who developed some game together before. They will try their best, but in the process they will find a lot of problems and uncertainties how to do the things exactly. Then finally after two years of building the game they will try first “playable” version and find that is utter crap full of bugs. Next year or two they try to fix the game and make it playable. They also have to optimize the game for consoles, another big deal because you have in contract minium FPS the game needs to run on the console. So they usually deliver unfinished, somehow playable game and try to catch up and make it in first months after release. However there is another signed contract awaiting to build another game. They focus on the next game… aaand repeat, because they need to pay their staff.

How many of you written to Sony the P:HG was unplayable shit and if they will make a contract with Illfonic again you will not buy such a game?

Fair, but they should be able to do the job right. That’s how every company that offered a service operates.

I’m not sure it’s player responsibility to write so Sony. They can do so if they wish, but there should be an office that regulated quality of startup companies until they have proven that they can regulate it internally.
