What are you talking about here anyway? What makes you think that the lore of Predators has suddenly been changed? Was not. What Isabelle said about not very smart predators concerns specific predators. Open the prequel to “Predator 2018” - “Hunters and Hunted” - it says in plain text that, firstly, the Hunter himself in the book is a scientist, and secondly, they have a full set of scientists and engineers who not only adapt the technologies of other races, but also create their own. It was also mentioned in the anthology “If it bleeds”
As for the canon and the non-canon, the Predator and Alien universes have long been woven into a single canon. Open the Weyland-Yutani Report (encyclopedia on “Alien”) - it mentions the events of the “Fire and Stone” crossover and the “Rage War” trilogy. Yes, there are specific non-canonical stories like AvP films - since, at least the first film, it’s just an adaptation of a comic book.

This is, for the most part, what Andrew was guided by when creating an RPG. If you read this list and the materials that are presented in it, it becomes clear that this list is not a valid list of canonical materials. So the “WY Report” is located in the TIER II CANON, which Andrew also calls the absolute canon. At the same time, the" Report " does not just leave the Easter egg, but directly points to the events of Fire and Stone. As well as the events of “Out of Shadows”, which Andrew took out in general it is unclear where. Thus, if the Report is canonical, then what it mentions is also canonical.
Let’s move on. Andrew’s list mentions comics as part of the "Fire and Stone"event… but for some reason, he throws out pieces with Predators. How does it work? It’s just that these are all full-fledged parts of one story. How can one chapter of story be canonical, and another chapter of the SAME story is not? This is devoid of even common sense, not to mention the impact on the plot.
At the same time, the author places part of the comics in the TIER II CANON , and part of the comics in Myths and Legends. On what principle? At the same time, in TIER II CANON, we have the Titan and Imprint Novel Series… BUT the books from the same series (Alien: Out of the Shadows, Alien: Sea of Sorrows, Alien: River of Pain) are somehow moved to TIER III. At the same time, the events of these books are mentioned in the WY Report.
Next: Aliens: Colonial Marines Video Game (Creatures and Technology are canon, the story is not). How is this even possible if the appearance of a number of creatures in this game is due to the STORY of this game?

I would like to mention the plain inconsistently that is the ruling for Aliens/Prometheus books in the Fire/Stone & Life/Death comics. The article is like “that shit happened unless Preds were in it”, which they are, but wants those events Canon. You can literally see Predators in those Alien and Prometheus Comics. (Obviously not every one but fuck off it’s still a inconsistency)
Also, it likes to say that Dark Horse stories are like myths and shit. The Alien RPG Coloinal Marine Expansion and the Alien Marvel Comic proceed to reuse the Destorying Angels Comic story and in RPG’s case, the Frenzy/Berseker storyline.
Also it wants to state that Alien, Predator, and AvP are their own separate universes.
So if you wank this statement, AvP Verse Events and Xenomorphs and Alien characters exist in the Predator Verse, but that doesn’t mean that AvP = Predator. Predator is a separate Verse but still has the exact same events as AvP. Which is fucking stupid when Predator consistently shows that Alien stuff is part of the Predator verse, with Predator Titles and the whole deal, not AvP Labels.
So in my point of view, the article is not reliable as of this moment.
As of Hunting Grounds, Predators got technology from Amengi after Alpha’s rebellion. any correlation between Yautja and Engineers were baseless fan theories to begin with.
However Aliens and Engineers definitely do exist in Predator because all the new NECA shit. And before anyone says shit about “Oh it’s all toys, that doesn’t matter”, every piece of art was approved by higher ups who also talk with 20th Century

No better way to ruin a character or universe than by explaining it to death.
This game is a prime example. I’m guessing they dump a heavy portion of their budget into writing these dumb ideas and putting them on audio tapes, which is why there’s no focus in the actual game.

It’s just a primal origin story, like even before Predators knew Xenomorphs existed. Lord still killed a Xenomorph, Engineers are still around, it really doesn’t affect anything.

Its not only me, i said up in the discussion that more than 50% of entire fan base of predator franchise only, they will be disgusted to find this out lol.
