While true, I think everyone is wanking the shit out of the whole “No Smart Predator” thing.
Think about it, Isabella was taught by Royce and she herself didn’t know a whole lot of the differences between. Super Yautja and Yautja methods. This isn’t a regular Yautja Camp, this was Mr. Black’s game preserve, so it would be managed by the Super Preds who by the way, aren’t so technically inclined themselves, dressing in hides and only some metal.
How was she supposed to tell the difference between the Val Verde Incidient and the Game Preserve? Plus if she wasn’t in the conversation between Royce and Noland, unless Royce told her about it, she wouldn’t know about Yautja vs Super Yautja, or simply doesn’t care.
Plus besides this all being sorta true in terms of technological origin because Alpha nicked it from Amemgi, Yautja do know how the shit works, they make brand new weapons, technology, and advancements using said technology.

We can’t know that for sure. We have no information about the technological level of the Yautja before the “Age of Amengi”, during the “Age of Amengi”, and after the “Alpha’s Rebellion”, in which the Predators INDEPENDENTLY destroyed the Amengi as a civilization. The history of the “Rebellion” and the “Age” is so concise and schematic that we simply cannot draw any specific conclusions.
And even if they got their technologies from Amengi, they must be AT LEAST no less intelligent to put these technologies into independent mass production. And given the fact that EVERY predator has a neutron bomb packed in their Mi-Bands, they definitely put this technology on stream. And at the same time, they still manage to create the most unique designs for their equipment. So much for “stupid hunters”.

The amengi thing really isn’t that bad. Its better than an engineer cop out. Its like only 3 races exist in the entirety of AvP and they’re all made by engineers, its lazy. We know predator as a franchise has other alien life, let them expand on it without latching on to another franchise for dear life.
Why does everything have to be tied to Alien for you when alien films are never going to acknowledge pred? You keep talking about Pred 1’s scriptwriters but don’t acknowledge Ridley Scott who just wanted the royalties bucks, he despises AvP. He laughs anyone offstage who even mentions it to him.

What conflicts is decanonized. Like Verhaiden’s original run in “Aliens”. This is also true for a franchise, such as Star Wars. However, NONE of the examples I have given has any contradictions with the basic canon. In this list, the works are distributed at the level according to the principle “because”. That is, even by the criterion of contradictions to the main canon, the distribution is invalid. So “Out of the Shadows” does not contradict ANY of the films. I repeat, I read all this. The conditional “AvP: Dead Space” does not contradict ANY story inside the Xenoverse in ANY way, simply because it is the same separate and independent story as, for example, “Aliens: Dead Orbit”. At the same time, “Dead Orbit” lies quietly inside the main canon, but “Dead Space” fits into the non-canon for no apparent reason.
Once again, the presence of Predators in the Alien world and the commonality of this universe as a Xenoverse is an objective fact, at least because the events in which Predators were one of the main actors are directly mentioned in the canonical ENCYCLOPEDIC material on the “ALIEN” franchise (WY Report). Plus, this material is listed by Andrew in the main canon.
Ridley Scott can say whatever he wants. He is not the creator of the universe (yes, he made a significant contribution to its film realization, but he DID NOT CREATE the universe). Moreover, according to his own words, he has not watched ANY FILM IN THE FRANCHISE, EXCEPT FOR HIS OWN. The universe was invented and formed by O’Bannon, Shusett, Giger and Cobb. Scott embodied THEIR IDEAS, adding his own to them. Ridley is a great director. Was. Once. But the titular monster was NOT invented by HIM. The characters were NOT invented by HIM. And the concept of the universe was NOT invented by HIM.
And he is also not the owner of the franchise, and he NEVER WAS.

I’d also like to point out nowhere in the Tapes is there made an distinction between Yautja and Super Yautja. The O.W.L.F are caught up in the whole technology aspect.
I know this is more of extended Universe stuff but there were a lot of smaller/lesser Yautja that crowded the ships in the AVP Comics. It’s definitely a reach, but honestly either Isabelle is a unreliable narrator as she can’t even work out Pred Tech well, or Illfonic goofed up.

And there is nothing there. I just gave this comic as an example to show the invalidity of the argument about “contradictions to the main canon”. After all, Dead Space is absolutely separate and does not contradict anything to write out this comic from the canon.

Scott owns the Alien IP, until he sells it to Disney what he says goes. AvP is doing its own thing, he’s very clearly moving forward without xenos in pyramids in the arctic.

WHAT?! Since when does the Alien belong to Scott? The alien belongs to Fox (now Disney). Scott is not the creator of the universe and not its owner. The alien as an IP was owned by Fox EVEN BEFORE SCOTT WAS HIRED AS A DIRECTOR.
They inherited Scott & Scott Free Productions with the merger. He’s his own executive producer.
Disney has to keep him in-house not the other way around.
