So what’s a “win” for FT??

Soooo the daily STILL is not tracking. I’ve killed it, we all survived. Still not tracking. I figured maybe cause I died but my team killed it one time that didint count or something? Like is killing the predator not victory ?

Only two ways for the FTs to win:

A. You complete all objectives and exfil, only one FT member has to exfil to win.

B. Kill the predator, disarm the bomb, and secure the body.

All other outcomes are a loss. If the FT does not complete objectives and time runs out, you lose.

If the Predator successfully detonated his wrist computer, you lose.

Hope this helps.

Yeah no I get what they say it is, I’m saying it’s stupid. So did Arnold not win? In the film he went back and they bitched at him? HOW DARE YOU KILL THAT ALIEN AND LET IT BLOW ITSELF UP, like wat. Dead predator should be a W because DUH

If the FT does not complete objectives and time runs out, you lose.
Thats true.
If the Predator successfully detonated his wrist computer, you lose.
Thats false. Predator is dead and every FT-member who survived, wins
Everything else is just illogical.
Maybe you dont get extra points or your challenge if the predator blows himself up but if you kill him and force him into death its your win every round if you survive.

Either you extract with the chopper or the predator dies, thats your win as fireteam.
Its that simple —

Not for the challenge. Drakos was right in how to win.

But it does make sense. If you let the predator blow up, you failed your mission, cause untold destruction to the area, and have nothing to show for it.

Yes, Predator self destruct gets a “Self Destruct Successful” end screen. That is a win for the Predator per the game mechanics.

I think it is something like an extra 500XP as well, but I could be wrong on the number.

As for the challenges, I think only the FT who escape get credit. Any FT who die or are left behind take a loss and no challenge credit.

Nope. If anyone escapes, the entire FT wins.

Well, try that and tell me if it adds a win to your daily challenge. Because it won’t.

Predator loses if any single FT escapes.
But only the FT who escape get a win, the others take a loss. Or at least do not get challenge credit.

Facts

That’s how it should be, yes.

Just because the FT loses doesn’t mean the Pred wins. Suicide bombing is not a victory, it’s an honor thing for preds, and it translates as desperation to humans.

Regardless, the game regards it as a win for the Predator.

I truly wonder, when armed with the information in this thread, how many folks would still claim to “never lose, ever.”

Dunno man. I think if the pred suicides but I survive then I’ve beaten him. Can’t say Dutch lost in the movie.

I’d say if the timer runs out and the FT and pred are still alive then it’s a draw.

Most people see the game now as either fireteam vs objectives or fireteam vs Predator.

Personally I call it a win if I don’t die.

I think that might be a Predator win, per the game mechanics. Assuming no FT escaped, they failed the mission and Predator would then get fire team eliminated(?).

Not tested of course, just a hunch.

Could easily say that the FT killed the pred after the timer ran out too. That’s the point I suppose. We don’t know so just call it a draw. Unless they make it so if the timer runs out both pred and FT get highlighted on the map and then fight to the death.

No, it doesn’t make sense. Your mission is technically not to kill the Predator. Your mission is to kill the AI and do some sort of subterfuge or destruction. The Predator showing up is “unexpected” and you’re told to be careful.

By your logic killing the Pred and defusing the bomb isn’t a win either, since a shit ton of AI show up and your objective changws. We don’t know if we technically ‘completed’ the main objective either based off the final cutscene just being an arm wrestle.

The Pred blowing up is technically ‘not’ a coded win, but it’s a ‘moral’ win for those who live since they killed a freaking alien.
