Its the dumbest game mechanic ever if predator wins after self destruct.
He could just kill himself and blow up every round and finished.
Illogical and dubios. I refuse to accept that.
Challenge or not

And to be honest this is a game just like dbd where everybody can choose how to win.
I dont think I lose as predator just because 1 FT escaped while I killed 7 FT before in the same round.
And I dont lose if the predator dies but I lose if the timer runs out.

Some other people just play for the points and dont care what who wins or loses

I don’t main pred but I’ve always assumed Predator has 3 ways of winning:

1- Eliminate the entire team.
2- Marines run out of game time.
3- Don’t let them evac in those 30 seconds(or whatever it was) the chopper is there (you don’t have to kill’em).

Now you CAN achieve number 2 and 3 if you pester them enough. Not easy but it happened to me a time or 2.

Items 2 and 3 are essentially the same thing. The in game timer stops when the chopper is called, so if they don’t get on it, they essentially just ran out of time.

I would disagree, the challenges have now identified to the community what does actually count as a win for each team.

Except for some reason when that happens, Predator gets prey escaped.

At least if all 4 FT are alive and nobody has gotten on the chopper.

It’s just inconsistent.

Yeah that bug is annoying as hell, they seriously need to look at that, because it doesn’t always say prey escaped. I have also wiped the entire team at the exfil and gotten a prey escaped screen before as well 🤦🏻‍♂️.

Yep the challenges have bright much to the attention of the community about win conditions.

And I think the conversation here identified some bugs and/or inconsistencies with those conditions.

My inner nerd cries out in pain!

And if anyone wonders why, it is because the implications of this are that if Illphonic is using win/loss metrics to help with overall balance. Those metrics are not accurate.

Would love to see a win X number of matches as Pred so that we can see what his challenge win conditions are, but that will mean long ass queue times…
