Social media reposts?

Literally a ton of their recent social posts as of late have been recycled posts from the past.

Are we never going to attempt to build up any amount of excitement or hype about what is coming to the game?

: /

Keep on keeping on I guess.

Elliott… you are acting like you’re new here or something ;-) Obviously we are not getting shit XDDDDD

Thanks Arnie!

I know, I just enjoy being the flame under illfonics butt xD

Just odd how they are hiring so many new positions, one being a social media manager and they are literally still as closed shut as they were before the beta. Sounds like they are moving on especially since they can’t even make up social media posts or engagement that takes 2 seconds to think out and implement.

My hope one day will kill me xD

Lmaoooo

They will need the staff for their next venture .

Halloween will be next , then something else after that

Hopefully the next dev team that picks up the AVP license will finally do everything relating to our incredible IPs justice!

I do know they confirmed it themselves, that when they were trying to get the green light for hunting grounds there was another developer in negotiations with fox for another predator game

Or ya know… it’s like they’ve told you in the past. Disney have them under a tight contract where they’re really not allowed to talk about upcoming content or stuff related to dev due to their NDAs & Contract. Because it’s fucking Disney and they’re like that so that’s why they shadow drop everything.

Yeah , disney knows business 101 with promotion is to have none at all and let people find out in patchnotes or after they buy a movie ticket , what it is they are actually getting

They get this same shit asked on Stream every single time.

“Why don’t you guys talk about what content & DLC is coming?”
“We’re literally not allowed to. Please don’t ask again.”

And then idiots ask again next stream and they have to give the same answer.

You’re telling me they can’t show a snippet of an upcoming shader or say some ambiguous “we’re really excited about this months update”. There’s a lot of shit they could do to at least hype up the game and I doubt Disney would be this tight lipped over a small cash cow.

There answer usually is “when we can talk about it , we will” , which is after its released.

I’m not knocking it and it is actually pretty common , being realistic. I play games that don’t announce much and just drop it , so its a gaming statement as a whole , more than its an illfonic statement.

At least from my view , anyway .

Well they are and that’s the world we live in and Disney can do whatever they want because they’re the biggest most evil monopoly in the world and can afford to burn money.

As Arnie is saying. This shit happens a lot in gaming, more than you’d think. Generally the only kind of games taht routinely build up hype for upcoming DLCs, Content & Characters are Fighting games, MMOs & sometimes maybe Battle Royales. But even Fortnite just fucking shadow drops everything.

The traditional pre-DLC illfonic bashing has officially launched 😁

It’s the forum PMS. Used to be a regular monthly occurance, but not is shifting to a two month period. Our ovaries are drying up 😂

I thought Disney was all about making money.

The way they have this IP in a cage is directly hurting it and it’s performance.

A proper Predator game surely would rake in the dough wouldn’t it? XD

It’s literally like this IP is on a course of failure instead of actively trying to gain attention or success.

There is always deflection from illfonic though , nothing is ever on them .

Disney
Small studio
Covid

None of those are held responsible for their performance which is part and parcel of the title . If the performance wasn’t as questionable I’m sure the outlook on the game would be totally different

Disney is more about holding onto IPs than making money. They don’t much care if most things they own don’t turn a huge profit, they just want to own it so others can’t make a profit on it. Look at how much shit they have the rights to they just throw in the vault and never use.

And Predator has been a pretty niche franchise for over 20 years now. It’s never going to have a moment where we get a huge award winning game with it. It’s just gonna have small cult classics here and there, and that’s the reality of the IP and has been for decades and there’s nothing wrong with that. I’d rather this IP be given to smaller devs than some huge one like fucking EA who would churn out soul-less triple-a cinematic crap.
