Some players spot you easy...

Its not a hack lmao

there IS a cheat out there, but as is said I dont truly believe many people are using it.

Just feel there are way to many ways to find the pred or some glitchy mechanics etc

as for the red outline on pred same as AI that seems a bit OP to have as well as spotting. definitly shouldnt work when cloaked no matter how long you aim at him IMO.

Thanks for the input all

Iv seen a screenshot of the hack itself on a forum, it paints the whole predator red and you can be seen through everything including the rocks. It’s a joke and explains the periods of play where you get spotted when theres zero chance they have seen you.

that assumes that everyone uses it though and thats simply not true.

How do you even use it, its not like you go into the menu and type in a code you have to actually know how to activate the cheat and most people dont. I dont want to know or care how you use it im just saying not everyone is using the cheat.

Im aware of the cheat im one of the people that was posting the link around to facebook groups and here and sent it to the devs and reported it to easy anti cheat… so im fully aware of it. still, there are not many that use it.

Its just game mechanics that make it too easy to spot and find the predator. be it audio or moving branches or cloak noises or whatever. iv maybe only seen the cheats used 1 or 2 times. its beyond obvious becaue they come to you from miles away, cloaked, behind an object and just know your position and are shooting at it as they come around the corner… THATS the obvious cheater.

The ones im talking about are they cant see you for a moment, and they are searching/hear you but then they suddenly start shooting you because something gives away your position.

I do that alot, but its no cheat, its in game mechanics! - let me explain, when you are cloaked and still you are 100% invisible to eye. However, you are making those clicking sounds. Soon as I hear them, i start spam spotting in the direction they are coming from. It takes about 2-3 seconds for me to spot and mark you. Every thing else that happens after that is just pure slaughter XD This game is so broken at its very core!

yeah thanks for the input.

the spotting needs a cooldown, not just when u spot, but actually when u press it, that uses it. so if u miss the spot u cant just spam it around to get the spot and THEN the cooldown hits.

The cooldown needs to prevent the spamming of the spot button AND prevent constantly keeping the pred spotted. so the cooldown needs to be on the PRED side.

IF Predator is spotted then the cooldown on him being spotted again by anyone should be longer. not per individual… like. A spots him and A is on cooldown, but B can now spot him, then C and D. just if ANYONE spots him he cant be spotted again by anyone for X seconds.

Simply pressing spot should have a 5second cool to stop spamming it rapidly til u get a hit.

Audio cues need toning down untill like 10 meters or so. if you are 50-100 m away you should barely hear anything above your own footsteps and actions, gunfire etc.

PC players are apparently cheating. I didn’t even want to play yesterday due to the whole team being taken out too quick. Today I turned off crossplay and it’s like it was. Sad

Some players spot you easy… some not. That is life. Ahahha

@Heyraab Now no one is aiming you with mouse, right? Turning off crossplay is a wise thing to do for the both platforms, to be fair.

Edit: unless you are a predator on pc and want to farm some guys with joysticks. But maybe they added some kind of aim assist for PS4 as they usually do for shooters?

They’re called CHAMS. They make the target glow red and you can see the target from far away. It’s a known hack used by cheating PC players in many, many first person shooters.

Why do you even need any hacks when you have CHAMS integrated in the game for both sides? For squad they call it spotting, for predator tracking vision and infrared vision. Makes target glow different colors, not only red btw. Oh, and dont forget that squad members can see each other through the walls, grass and trees with names and letters attached, for deeper immersion.

I meant it seemed like when the predator was on PC, they took us all out way too quick. But when I turned off crossplay, and it was just PS4 players, it was back to normal. No aim assist on PS4 lol

That’s fucked up. Their account should be cancelled for that

Spotting the predator needs to be removed!

Low graphics really ruins this game. As both fireteam and pred you can see basically the entire map unrendered with foliage and without using thermal vision. You can easily see the fireteam/predator on low settings.

Please nerf spotting

@Courier @uk_spawn

It’s still really easy to spot the Predator. If the fireteam sees you fire an arrow or sees your laser or looks in the direction the pred sound is coming they know where you are (general direction) but can’t see/spot you. So, they can just fire in that direction and usually cause damage which forces the predator to move which then allows them to spot it. Then they can just stay on you and with the Predator’s squishyness and lack of useful gear it’s really easy to chase down and kill it. None of this is a bug just imbalanced gameplay. Preds are weak these days…

when your cloaked you generate clicking noises. also when you are at half health you bleed. every few seconds a blood splat hits the ground.

This can give away your position. if your cloaked this is even worse cause the way the cloak works is it uses the environment around you and distorts it around you. That includes the blood you just splashed on the ground and now there is a bright green target on your chest or leg.

Further more regarding your blood. if a fire team member shoots at you while cloaked and just barely taps you. There will be a blood spot on your body that is bright and clear as day. it doesn’t go away right away. You can uncloak and recloak and it will go away. Sometimes it glitches and doesn’t go away at all and there is this bright green target painted on you that stand our no matter were you go and you got to uncloak and recloak to make it go away.

also if your cloaked you can stand still for a few seconds to become completely invisible. This can be helpful.

You also just got to chalk it up to people who have a far more observant eye. Some people can just pick you out super easy and others (example me) couldn’t find you if you were standing directly infront of them doing the macarena. So just always expect someone like that and test your luck right off the bat and see if they do notice. if they do then you know you will have to be more stealthy.

Get out of the trees, use crouch to get into position that is in their field of view, take a few shots and get out. Never engage at half health and believe and think they can’t see you cause your blood will reveal you.

My best answer is:

They hear you, and take a good guess. I generally “kinda know” where the predator is. And depending on their playstyle I generally know a few “good spots” where most players tend to stand still. If you are cloaked (100% invisible) you will make so much noise as a predator (fucking clicking orchestra) that you are basically a homing beacon. At some point, I will figure out where ‘you’ are with roughly a meter or two difference. I bring an LMG, I’ll just spray that area and spot (mark) you when I get my first hit.

They can’t see-see you. They just played long enough to predict your play.

It’s why the experienced players are all asking for a massive reduction in Pred noises. It’s insane you cloak and basically become more obvious to detection than not wearing a cloak. I literally went for a full green-camo look on my Pred so I can hide in the bushes, uncloaked. It really works because people aren’t looking for that, they are following a shimmer.
