Something I think/hope would make everyone happy. Read the whole thing

Ok, so we, the veterans of the community are sick to death of the JH DLC threads and while I believe these will never truly end, I have an idea that I think would sate the appetites of many. Here it is…

Emissary Predators… that can play as either Predators OR FT.

Here’s how I see it working…

As Predator…

A.) Has set load out…

1.) Cloak
2.) Thermal vision with target ID
3.) Med kits
4.) Self destruct
5.) LMG, able to use larger magazine and better sights. No ability to supress
6.) Wrist blades

B.) Cannot equip the following…
1.) HH Plasma caster (Also, no shoulder PC. The LMG replaces it.)
2.) Bow
3.) Swords of any kind
4.) Combi stick
5.) Ax
6.) Smart disc

C.) Can equip the following…
1.) All perks (not at once, obviously)
2.) Wrist launcher
3.) Net gun
4.) Bear traps
5.) Motion detectors
6.) Audio decoys

Same health/stamina stats etc as CH. CAN collect VT. Target ID does not show VT. Same goals. Kill FT, survive.

As FT…

A.) Has set loadout…

1.) Cloak
2.) Thermal vision
3.) Self revive
4.) LMG able to use larger magazine and better sights. No ability to suppress this weapon
5.) Wrist blades

B.) Cannot equip the following…
1.) Knives (wristblades are automatically equipped)
2.) Any human clothing accessories/shaders ( they should have their own shaders )
3.) Ft specializations of any kind

C.) Can equip the following…
1.) Any secondary weapon
2.) Any FT gear item
3.) Any FT perks

Same health/stamina stats as CH. Can collect VT. Can use Predakour. Can use stims, ammo packs ammo crates and found health kits. Can self destruct ONLY if he is the last man standing, has been downed twice and has used the self revive already… ONLY 1 EMMISARY PREDATOR PER FT PER MATCH.

Goals- same as FT. Complete mission/Exfil or Kill regular Predator.

If either Predator in the match kills the other, a new claim animation is instituted. Pred-on-Pred violence deserves a new cutscene.

And of course it would have both body options to satisfy all players.

Thoughts?

Do you know how powerful this predator would be just because he happens to have a hitscan weapon his stats could literally be 1/1/1/1/6 perk points and he would still be the best predator in the game just cause he has access to a hitscan weapon this is of course assuming he has like 8 clips of ammo as that’s probably pretty reasonable considering how much hp ft collectively has

Am I down for it sure as then it would show the devs why the FT right now is in such a power role when there suddenly asking for the LMG to get nerfed

Thanks for reminding me this was almost a thing.

I hate it.

You’re most welcome. While im.glad it didn’t make it into live action, as I indicated above, this could be the thing that finally brings a bit of balance to the Force.

I think it’d go over well. I believe I laid out a fair and robust case for it on each side.

I’m all for pred on pred violence.
FT gear, perks, and high DPS hitscan weapons on a pred would be broken though. There’s a reason bow arrows and plasma shots don’t instantly travel to the target. If they actually wanted to encourage pred pvp there should be gear/weapons that specifically affects predators or inflicts status effects & isnt optimal for use against FT. Think wrist launcher affecting enemy preds thermal (I think it does in clash, and preds are bigger targets so it feels less inaccurate) but being a joke to FT. And more weapons with minor tracking that would need to be avoided because we all know how hard it is to hit another pred with a projectile bow. The idea of a pred picking up an smg, leaping around and just downing the enemy pred in a clip is just painfully braindead.

Does emissary even have the typical self-destruct gauntlet? I don’t remember fugitive having one. I thought it was just the magic ping pong ball of invisibility and the wrist launcher blade thing.

Every Predator has had a slightly different set of gauntlets. Its fair to assume they can self destruct.

Arent they there peacefully & intending to share tech anyways? I think if self-destructing was that universal it would be an automatic function of these gauntlets upon the users death. But the only time we see it onscreen its a manual “ha fuck you” button.

Though wouldve been a better movie if everyone blew themselves up on accident halfway through.

I think this is probably the only way they can go

Its not automatic. In both pred and pred 2, they have to physically arm the device. And fugitive was delivering a suit. Not necessarily anything else.

Agreed. Even though I’m obviously biased on the subject, I think it’d be a great addition and would almost definitely bring in more players too.

Ik thats why I don’t think its some common peice of equipment. Thematically if theyre here to deliver ironman suits to humanity why would they need a nuclear option?
If all preds seppeku’d to protect their tech when they lost then why is there a manual fuck you nuke button at all? Most of them lose an arm or die before they even get to use it.

They brought masks & gauntlets with capabilities for automatic self defense. & The gauntlet complete with invisibilty orb automatically adjusted to fit the human arm so probably more than just the ironman suits if the movie even tried to make any sense

The option is there in case they need it for any reason, defeat by humanity included. I’d bet its built in. They don’t HAVE to use it, but it’s there if need be. Much like spies innthe cold war could’ve taken their own lives if captured. Plus, if he needed to/chose to/could’ve done so, Fugitive may have chosen to detonate to kill Assassin.

Clash is a pretty good example of just how janky pred on pred is.

Idk yet. Wasn’t the whole point of the self-defense mask/gauntlet was that he needed it to kill assassin? I remember it fucking him up pretty bad at the start and why he was so pissed about losing it despite being in a lab filled with pred equipment.

But why wasnt he using the ironman suit to begin with? And why was that movie so bad?
We’ll never have answers.

CLASH IS GLORIOUS.
No lol but really give preds melee mechanics, some anti-pred weaponry, and a method to knock eachother out of trees and you actually have a game here.

Yes but that requires effort that is beyond illfonic as far as im concerned.

No, we never will. There are no GOOD answers to be had with that film. Im just suggesting a new, versatile class of Preds that everyone could use and love.

Emissary Preds…

They would fit in clash
