Sound design is SUPER good in this game, and you can hear exactly where the Predator is, so if you’re playing on the TV, headphones or surround sound are massive boosts in hunting the pred.
Soooo….how does one git gud at PS5 fireteam?
Mine too, play around with 87 more. I do mostly because I got shit aim, regardless that I’m console scrub.
I play with expensive headphones, always. They’re very bass-y so Pred thumps are obvious. What irritates me though is I seem to be the only person who can tell where he is at. I just got done with a match and jfc the literal kids on the mic, shooting at nothing screaming PWEDATURRRR!!!
I seem to have better aim as a Pred, oddly enough. With higher ads it’s easier to trace a player with the caster laser and get direct hits, same with the bow.
I was raging on the mic at a similar guy last night. Forgot which map but he was an OWLF hiding under the stairs, constantly mudding up. I was so pissed, as soon as I was revived I ran over to him to attract the Pred. I didn’t care about dying, I hate campers with a passion.
A fellowship of friends who can carry you to max xp, then use all the money in loot box’s to unlock gear, class and skins faster, also use the xp boost if it’s your first time playing, then after you get seasoned use Pred bane or thick skin and learn how to parry
I mostly main pred but you gotta have a good understanding of fireteamd versatility, playstyles, and missions to be a decent pred. Luckily the plasma caster and net gun don’t take much skill to master lol
Glad I could help. Weapons Handling is really only used for GOSL-R so it can be reasonably used as a main weapon against Pred and Armored A.I, but in the case of Hammerhead or other ARs that don’t have as much recoil as say GOSL-R or AR-W, you can freely switch out Weapons Handling for other perks that can no doubt help out. I recommend the following combos if you don’t need Weapons Handling.
Action Hero to stack with Assault’s already boosted Hipfire Accuracy Passive + Fast Hands for close encounters with Pred.
Prepper to account for the fact that you’re gonna be burning through ammo quite quickly + Fast Hands.
Other Weapons I generally recommend are Hammerhead or Mercenary if you really want that extra damage.
Prototype Rifle is not recommended because it’s not a Bullet Weapon.
I have never found a need to use prepper on any build ever. If you can throw on ammo bags with the health stim, there’s literally no reason for that perk.
The prototype weapon is criminally useless. It looks cool, but I think I’d rather throw a letter opener at the Predator.
Ppffffttttt all this talk of meta and best builds!
Lolz to all of you!!!
How do you “GET GUD”
It’s fairly simple, you put your headset on, turn it up, listen and shoot to dam 8ft space Tarzan muthafucker!!! Also if you choose to play solo you better be ready to sacrifice your teammates spines in order to win Royce that fucking trophy Hunter!!
All this talk about using the best perks and blah blah blah, is all bs and should just be a secondary thought to building your fire team character!!!
The key is teamwork or sacrificing your team in order to get the big damage!!!
All my ft builds are just the character loaded with gear and speed perks, with the implementation of specs the damage perks are not needed to play even against the most skilled of preds!!
Scout Duelist is by far my favourite class, but I’d say either Dutch is good as well.
Scout duelist is really good when you have a decent teammate, or a potato pred, but against a decent pred, if he engages in melee you are unlikely to survive if he starts plasma shooting at your feet while doing melee attacks
My “potato aid” build consists of support+Fieldmedic+thick skin+medkits+ammo+syrette. You will tank a lot of damage and be able to constantly put pressure on melee rushers, plus the explosive damage resistance will make you tank plasma shots with ease. If there is another support on the team, even more. Dante is another good option. Dante+Support duo is a pain in the ass even if they are both potatoes. They can tank so much damage together
The geniuses that think melee is good accounts for atleast half the pub preds. Or the only reason they’re using melee is because they can’t aim.
literally just backpedal hipfire AK, easy second wind.
Yeah I mean but usually you can kill the pub preds with anything. So the AK is like a, win more weapon. Lol like you’re gonna kill those goons anyways
AK deadly bane’s a luxury for when I want to play with my eyes closed and not even bother parrying
I also recommend LMG + a beefy class like supp if you can’t aim OP its even more braindead spray you get like 150 bullets and barely need half of them, less with headshots. The rest of the bullets in the mag are for killing the winded pred point blank and watching him ragdoll before he can even arm the bomb.
I’ve said for a year now that you don’t need parry lol. You just shoot him. Trust me, I’ve been on this train for a long time. You have plenty of DPS to just turn into the predator and shoot him
yeah but that was before specs bringing the damage on pred even higher now its just ridiculous. just step in a bear trap and watch them try to melee you while they melt, its memes. people were still trying other guns back then.
the only time you have to actually pay attention to the screen is if they’re playing ranged and that accounts for 2 whole weapons in the game.
Combistick would be relevant if headshots actually mattered for pred beyond bow.
You’re telling me nothing new. Like I said, I’ve been preaching this for a long time 😂
I choose to sacrifice my team. Sometimes, also myself lol. I’ve played enough matches to know that 90% of the people I get don’t know how to play. But when that 10% comes around it actually feels really good. But yeah, I try and stay hidden but close by enough that when the Pred comes for someone I can come out and lay into him.
I’m working on leveling up the AK right now, so far I am impressed by the rate of fire and close range damage. A huuuuge amount of Preds I’ve faced like to get up in your face, so this would be perfect.
