I agree this really needs to go or have A huge cooldown cuz now it seems unlimited

People just spam the spot button!! I don’t think that they will do anything to this. So this stays like this for them.

Does spooted have a cooldown?

No you can spot as many times as you’d like. They should make that exclusive to the scout class because he is a scout for a reason… being a scout means literally nothing. They don’t conform every fire team type to their abilities.

What you said is a horrible idea in my opinion… the spot doesn’t even last long. I don’t know why is this an issue for for some people…

It doesn’t last long but the predator can’t even stalk prey without being spotted endlessly. It’s redundant asf. You can’t even sit idle in a tree without being spotted. They need to at least make it only for the scout because he is a scout for a reason. Didn’t know the other FT has scouting abilities and their own. They should have a few second cool down

It’s an issue because you can’t even sit in a tree without them spotting you repeatedly. Camo is useless. I didn’t know a human can spot an invisible object in a tree from 100 meters

Think the scene from the original movie, Billy tried to explain to Dutch that he could see something, “up ahead in the trees” but Dutch didn’t have an exact location on where he was looking. That’s literally how this should work.

IMO all that needs doing, is dropping a short timed, fixed ping icon in the world, at whatever location said FT member has “spotted”. Think Hunt: Showdown, or better yet, COD. (One press for generic ping, double press for “danger”)

Doesn’t even need to be anything contextual, or fancy, and it certainly shouldn’t stick to Predator player

Add 2 or 3 sec cooldown on top, it’d be ideal.

Edit: spelling

Yeah, and mac obviously saw a standing predator, and dillon saw it too from a miles away. Think of that too

It’s not an issue, a standing predator is invisible completely, even if you hold the bow or the plasma hand caster… he is invisible while not moving. Predator players can take this as an advantage…

Agreed this is a good point. Perhaps a middle ground then… If predator is spotted whilst de-cloaked, ping icon sticks to them for a few seconds. If cloaked, a simple “danger here ping” instead.

Spot spam is very real however. If nothing else it needs a a few second cooldown.

I agree that scout and/or recon should be able to spot the predator in its exact location. However, maybe on support and assault, spotting could be changed so that if they spot they predator, it tells the whole team something like “predator spotted in your area” without tracking it directly. Or perhaps keep direct spotting limited to a perk.

Wow good idea

I like this, I hope the devs see this

This is not true. You can see predator just fine when they are still and cloaked.

I do completely agree with the topic, spamming spot button needs to go.
