There never was any honor, only people’s perception of it. Even JH’s 1v1 was not honorable, the fucker is like 3x stronger than him as well as capable of taking more damage and he wants hand to hand combat.

It can’t be crucified levels of bad imo, that fuckers manibles looked terrible and he was a standard one. The only decent mandible design imo is JH, the rest degraded from there.

I bet you think Ulfric Stormcloak was wrong for winning his dual with the High King because he could Shout and Toryyg couldn’t despite the battle being traditional Nord customs.

Hand to hand game him at least a small chance, otherwise he would have been killed outright.

I mean JH was just sniping his team with advanced weaponry and autoaim while using invisibility tech. Dutch was probably like “fuck it, I’m probably dead might as well try before I go down.”

Also JH, as with all his race, outclassed Dutch in weight, speed, height etc. That’s like me beating the shit out of a 3 year old in hand to hand combat and calling it honorable because I didn’t shoot him.

I think Dutch could have had another option. He had half a day to go for his gun and get a sneak attack on JH as he did with the spear. He also could have kept being mudded up and take his chances at exfil. The way Dutch want in with no reliable weapons and hail Mary trap, he basically sealed his fate.

Nah there was no chance he’d have won, the movie even showed this. JH was just playing with and wanted to see how many backhands he could deliver before Dutch’s neck broke.

Who knows, if Dutch had a knife, he could have stabbed JH in the neck when he was held by the neck or at any other point when they were close

If he had one sure but if I’m not mistaken JH had his wristblades tucked away that he could’ve used, he also had claws so again not fair in the slightest.

Im not sayimg in a fair fight. More of a dirty stab that JH would not be suspecting. Dutch definitely had some kind of knife (stick around) to make bow, arrows, trap.

I’ll try to find a YouTube clip. There was an initial explosive spear that he tossed as PRED was passing by the fire. But i think he may have had another one.

A sneak attack with the gun likely would not have worked, Dutch maybe would have gotten him with a few hits but JH would have jumped to avoid it. Assuming his one and only clip had any rounds left. And while a smart man would have probably stayed mudded up to exfil, Dutch had a personal vendetta against this thing. He wiped out his whole team, his soldiers, his comrades. Dutch knew he was probably going to die too, but he wasn’t going to go without a fight.
