Ft has the complete advantage and a melee weapon isnt going to change that.
If your team is paying attention, and not messing around, the axe should be no problem for you.

Melee weapons like the battle axe take no skill to use. That’s why it pisses me off so much when a potato predator comes in and destroys everyone with the battle axe. Then they have the nerve to tea bag like they did something spectacular.

Here’s a good idea, maybe just accept the glitch and make a mechanic where successive light attacks will boost a Heavy, so you don’t really get people spamming Heavies like that.

Bow hopping takes way more skill than spamming the heavy attack with the axe. Any five year old can use the battle axe, but lets see that same kid try and destroy an entire team with just the bow.

Ft dps is only broken when the team knows what they’re doing and they’re using good weapons. Too many potatoes use the plasma prototype or CS12, some of the worst weapons in the game.

I honestly really fucking hate it when people talk about skill in this game.
Nonthing in this game ever did, nor ever will take skill, simply because stuff (mechanics) in this game is not hard to do. A Souls game takes skill.
Whacking someone with a Axe takes as much skill as jumping around with a Bow. None of it.
What we should be talking about is Game Knowledge. It’s literally about knowing more is what will get you wins in combat situations and matches. Oh, you knew where Objective is so FT when that way. Or you knew that Predator is second winded, push for mission. The most skill this game takes is aiming correctly and even then Aim Assistance and Hit-Scan has you covered.
Aiming and gettings shots with bow takes skill, its a projectile weapon.

Charged Aiming? Okay sure, a little, but most of that is trajectory and making sure Fireteam lines up to where you’ll @Fire. It’s still just game knowledge.

Landing consecutive quick shots with the bow takes skill. Doing quick combistick throws takes even more skill.
Game knowledge is great, but it will do you no good if you can’t aim with the bow, the main ranged weapon for the predator.
So what ? Plasma Pistol, Combistick for throws, bow. They all take skill and there are people that are much better at using them than others, cus their skill levels are different. If there was no skill on this game, then everyone would be at the same level. Some people are clearly better at this game than others, even as ft, you can just compare the gameplay from some day 1 players and see the gap between them.
The aim assist doesnt help, its detrimental sometimes, but for the most part you’re right.
On ft side no skill is required, on pred side, some is.
Also souls games are easy, they dont require skill just the ability to learn patterns.
I’d say only fighting games really require skill.
And even then all you gotta do is learn one combo and that’s it.
