You won’t find anything impressive in the gameplay of the “old” players, I watched a tournanment pc players did in 2020, Thunderwolf was nothing like he is now. Players got better through time. Back no one was as good as the players now.

I did like the net gun combi throw though.
Honestly I think it would have been fun.
More so than today.
The game was more fun back then.
And I would have definitely enjoyed having more people to fight back then.
That’s the reason I said that.
But these groups of ppl around now, for some reason never wanted to play back then, or werent known.
Maybe some groups werent even formed back then too.
Im not sure. But I miss those days.

There was really good players, and I remember a pc player who had a group who never lost in the early days.
So there was really good players back then.
The ones who were good started out doing well, and then a lot of other ppl took longer to catch up.
I don’t doubt they were good for their time but they’re not better than current players.
Back then builds had variety to a degree, a small one but it existed. You could honestly run some really goofy shit and it was fine, the strict meta hadn’t formed: the numbers hadn’t been run.
I remember in 2020 running an infinite energy build, throw on Energy Cell, Modified Reserves & Lightbender onto a Scout: run around without ever having to worry about your Cloak running out or your Caster causing an overload. And like back then that shit worked, it didn’t matter that you weren’t making optimal use of every Perk point.
These days every class is forced into the same style: you’re running something like Analytic, Stalker or Tracker and its a priority that you run at least Large Pouch & Medic, with Dithered if you can fit it in.

There were plenty of top PC Players back then that could still stomp todays best Pred mains. And they did it without cheesy Specialisations and stacking buffs, they just had skill and coordination. I think one of them was Arrow_Calls or something (had someone doing a bench press as his avatar? I could be confusing him with someone else though, I’m shit at remembering peoples names nevermind their forum names and gametags). Pretty sure they could all come back and dominate still.

They were good, but they were not as good as the players now, specially the predator players that gave up on the game or went to become ft mains when things got harder.

Predator Hunting Grounds 2022 is a completely different game compared to the first year. Things didn’t get harder, they just got dumber and made no sense and eventually people stopped caring.
Anyone that still cares about being the best in this game can’t be helped. It’s a kids game now, nothing more than a nostalgia trip. It doesn’t deserve to be taken seriously anymore, it’s just something to do while you joke with old friends on game chat.

There was people who figured out all the things that ppl only later on did and wrote able to pull it off.
Such as bow hopping and combi throw style.
The ones who figured out the entire heavy stab has a parry animation.
Other ppl heard about it, and then copied it.
So the ppl you see now doing all the meta shit, there was ppl doing it in the early days.
Because this isnt a complex game.
