Right, this is getting taxing. What is the point you are trying to make? What is the exact question you are asking? Do you need some validation on your gameplay or something? Because that is what it is what it is starting to sound like; you think you’re a good player and wonder whether you could have cut it back in the day? Because the answer to that is that you can never truly know. Simple. If you’re good at the game now, good for you. But it’s not hard to be good at the game now is what we are trying to say to you. Nobody gives a shit enough about this game anymore, and this isn’t some triple A title where being good makes you a pro-gamer.

What I’m trying to say is that the players in the past could not have possibly be better than current players that remained playing.

Just due to the amount of hours alone.

I just find it laughable that people on the forums always say they were the best but don’t try anymore.

Even if you took a break you should be a good player not a potato

The bow’s mechanics are all kinds of messed up. On one hand, you’ll miss direct shots on a still target, on the other hand, you’ll hit a moving target even if the arrow’s trajectory is way outside the target’s intended hitbox. I have analyzed countless footage of arrows landing on moving targets when they shouldn’t, and I’m talking about the hit marker being way off. So, while I do agree that the bow should require more skill, the reality is that it is so inaccurate in favor of the pred player that the skill level can’t be determined.

My argument was that current players are better overall than past players just due to the sheer amount of time invested into the game.

You said players in the past were better. I have a hard time believing that.

It’s like arguing sports with a friend and talking different eras kind of.

Having said that. I do not think you were the best player for your time and era.

Well, I would say that having knowledge of the current state of the game gives new players (and old players still playing) an advantage over, let’s say, an old top player jumping in for a few matches now.
