I’m sorry have you not read that post? I literally give them a solution for it and for the weak ass predator, while you are constantly complaining and the only valid feedback i’ve seen you give is that the knife should be nerfed. I’m not sucking IllFonic’s dick but my god you are sure sucking your own
Stop crying!
Majority of my complaints have solutions within nerfs.
Many people have expressed the same opinion as me, as they have expressed the same with yours.
I guarantee you, after the demo finished people would have been happier with a delay, especially with the exact same issues being prevalent here.
Well in all honestly, saying you should nerf something isnt really a complete bit of feedback. In my opinion it becomes valid feedback if you give a way it should be nerfed (except if the thing you’re nerfing only does basically 1 thing ofc)
(I’ve now reached my daily reply limit cuz i’m new 😒 so if any more points are made i can respond to, it’ll be tomorrow FYI)
Just gonna throw an argument for Illfonic, though I’d like to put it out there that at this moment in time I’m open to changing my opinion when the pandemic is over depending on how the respond to the issues in the game.
I’m giving them some slack, like op said COVID-19 is happening and most of the population in the world is under lockdown. Illfonic included. There’s no way they can meet the expectations of everyone when it comes to addressing the issues present in the game like the glitches, rebalancing or server problems. Perhaps they’re working from home but certainly not with the same equipment OR the amount of communication they would if in office. Which is why I’m giving them slack.
For those of you saying “these issues were in the trial they should of fixed them by now” I’d like to point out they have done some rebalancing and tweaking, that much was obvious when I played.
Correct me if I’m wrong but Illfonic are based in Colorado and Washington, Colorado issued a stay at home order effective March 26th the day BEFORE the trial was released. Washington was on the 23rd or 24th. This means that the studio was under lockdown procedures BEFORE the trial so give them a break for now. The fact that they was able to release a patch for balancing on day one is impressive in itself. And the only way to fix issues on a multiplayer is to have the community experience problems and work around that. It’s not quite as simple as a single player pve game and the studio testing the game doesn’t count as them testing the game properly because they know the game inside and out, they won’t play the same way we will necessarily.
If when lockdown is over they ignore us and don’t address the issues I’ll jump on the “they’re a trash company” band wagon but until then I’m giving support to them because these are trying times and you can’t expect them to fix everything on week fucking one even if they were in the studio. Work hours would still be a thing.
Well the majority of my complaints were about parrying and reinforcements.
I offered a solution to the reinforcement problem in another comment.
And my solution to parrying was to completely remove it, considering the knife is absolutely tiny in comparison and shouldn’t be able to parry a giant club.
I agree
a man with a brain qwq
I agree that both of those are something that need looking into. But people should chill out and give them more time than normal rather than calling them a garbage company because they’ve not fixed anything in 24 hours.
I agree with you, and your comment is very well versed and thought. However, they are already being scummy. They advertised the game with crossplay parties, and clearly stated in twitter that they would be here at launch. Well, they are not, and make no mistake, this isn’t a glitch or a malfunction, the feature just hasn’t been implemented. For many users, including me, cross play parties were the main selling point. As a PS4 player, I was very excited to be able to play this game with my pc buddies. The main issue here is that they knew they wouldn’t be able to release the game with this desired feature, and they kept quite. A simple tweet saying that cross play parties would be delayed would be enough.
Let’s all calm down and not throw the witches on the fire just yet. I don’t know how many people here are game developers or understand how stressful it can be launching a new game, especially during a pandemic going on like Covid-19.
Instead of immediately casting stones at Illfonic and their creative team let’s give them a chance to fix what we all know is wrong with the game. It’s been barely over a day since the release and many of them are probably on phones with one another working from home trying to resolve the issues.
I for one can be appreciative that a company even kept with their timeline on a release date and that I am at least enjoying the game while stuck at home. Allow time for the bugs to be fixed. They are not a huge company just have patience.
First of all thank you. Second, I am assuming you mean crossplay that isn’t random with your friends? If so you are right, it should be here and that is something that I find hard to excuse; I don’t like false advertisement. And while there is crossplay implemented into the game, it’s random and you can’t invite your friends to private matches or parties which is what we all wanted and expected. I read somewhere you have to link your epic account to your psn or something but it still doesn’t work.
I really want to believe they had the intention of putting in party / private invite crossplay, maybe they worked on it after the trial? Crossplay wasn’t even a thing in the trial so I’m hoping and praying that they were working on it after that time and couldn’t finish it to the standard we wanted so they just gave us what they had, because it is there so I want to say the evidence of working towards party invites is there as well. But crossplay does increase wait times so there’s clearly matchmaking issues with it, I want to believe we don’t have invite crossplay because they ran into issues with that as well and couldn’t fix it before release.
Like I said that’s me wanting to believe this. I’m grasping at straws for this one. And even if this was the case and I am right it doesn’t explain the fact that they could have told us in the patch notes or an announcement prior to release. So in that scenario I cannot stick up for them. This is one reason why I’m willing to change my opinion because they have shown signs of going either way at this point. I don’t want to write off their faults or ignore their merits at this stage.
Fuck yeah we want refunds! As bad as a launch they had on they Beta, they should have pushed the release date further just like many others have. Give them plenty of time to get their shit better. Hey they have problems like everyone else, we understand that, which is why they should have pushed it back and worked on it not release it think things were going to go away
Pushed it back to what? An undisclosed date? Pushing back the release date doesn’t solve as many problems as it creates. Do keep in mind that them pushing the game back “like many others have” puts them in direct competition with those other companies, like Naughty dog or CD Projekt. And let’s be honest if it came down to it how many more people would buy Cyberpunk 2077 or Last Of Us Part 2; arguably the most anticipated games of this year.
There’s also the issue of paying their staff, if the game has been pushed back that means no money is rolling in which means they don’t get paid and in times like this where they cannot work in office they need money. It could make or break a company completely. They’re not a AAA company, most of those can afford to push their games back but smaller developers can’t. Again, don’t be so quick to blame the company when there’s a global pandemic effecting everyone; them included.
not talking about in the actual pandemy in america where all their studio are based they aren’t going to be out of lockdown before a good 2/3 month (america is reaching her million of infected in the next day unfortunetly…) so really its was for the best that they drop it today
Games have been launched half-ass’d way before COVID-19. No excuse.
no excuse to be so negative either man.
But it’s not about being negative, right? It’s about making sure the message gets into the heads of devs to produce a better product and not lie to their customers. It’s about my hard earned money. It’s called constructive criticism.
Honestly, I’d like to remind folks that if a refund makes you happy just go and request one. Contact EGS or Sony, and that’s it. Illfonic is already getting slammed enough and they’re doing their best to work through everything. The game launched 24 hours ago and stuff like this is going to take a bit of time. Maybe even some time that people don’t want to wait, unfortunately.
A good buddy of mine / old co-worker (basically work fam) is there now. It’s another reason while I feel the need to try and explain things as best as I understand them. Sure, it’s not my job, but I’ve been there way too many times before as a Community Manager on Dreadnought. It launched on Steam and PS4, and we had a large variety of matchmaking issues at launch. So much so that our teams had to work overtime to try and get a proper fix implemented. Their team is in that position right now, working hard on fixing the issues. It’s their number one priority over everything else at the moment. Well, and understandably so.
Dreadnought didn’t have crossplay, and we had the same amount of trouble. If not even more so. I’m sure crossplay just further complicates matchmaking. Not only that, but having to have every member of the team working from home cannot be helpful whatsoever. I’m positive it makes matters worse.
TL;DR, they’re working hard to fix the matchmaking as it’s the biggest issue. If you want to hang tight, be patient, and support them. Cool. If you don’t feel like waiting for whatever reason and you’re angry, cool. Just request a refund through EGS or Sony. 👌🏻
Dentdesabre, That’s what the betas are for in case you don’t understand how it works!
Most of the issues raised by the players last month are not fixed. So what they should have done is delay the game until they address them. And NO we should expect/accept that games release with major flaws, again refer to the BETA.
Major issues:
- Matchmaking times and issues, like loading on an empty lobby and staying there for EVER. Or, having 1 pred vs 1 fireteam member(Really)
- Frame rates drop, specially on PS4
- Predator movement while on trees, bugs where you’re stuck
- Balancing factors such as dmg output; fireteams knife deals extreme dmg (WTF)
- Predator weapons feels weak, even 1on1 with an elder sword I couldn’t take a single guy down for 15s non stop and had to disengage due to low health. (again WTF)
Granted some of these can/could be fixed, but ultimately most where already raised by players after the beta and not addressed for the most part.
People are not crying but pointing out the facts.
amazing how you have read only 50% of my post and not those before you, its quite hard for them to do that when your on lockdown at home, but ok i guess
people are not crying? watch half of the god damns feedback its just rage and no constructive critism like yours. its a bother if i was at the place of the dev watching all of the damn message i would get a headhache and really having low motivation after that.
