The scan is less about locating, and more about differentiating. Its there in the name. Target: Fireteam, Isolation: not ai. Because the ai are weak, I’ll just stand still and shoot like the ai and the pred avoids me. Now I haven’t tested this, but in the beta, the worthy ai also had the icon over their head, and it caused some confusion. Not sure now.

Interesting thoughts. Though that doesn’t sit well with me, as it makes it a “game mechanic” and not a predator concept.
The player should have to do the differentiating, I think, make the play more interesting. Make the ability more useful and organic, makes the game more fun to play. E.g., a FT rushing through the jungle would make themselves far more obvious than if they were approaching carefully.

Go back to what I first told you. I agree with everything you said except getting rid of target isolation, for the reasons you want it gone. I told you, the problems you see, and want to get fixed are not because of isolation, it’s just because the maps are too small and game time is too short.

True, but there is a lot of game mechanics that don’t fit. Reinforcements without a helicopter, knife parry, regular vision being visible light. And since I can solo the mission in three minutes without pred interference, bringing the two sides together early is important.
