TARGET ISOLATION NEEDS GONE ASAP

Iffonic would have been better off to have combined all 3 small maps together to make a big map and throw a waterfall in it and gorilla camp from the 87 movie which would have worked very well with the camps they already have.

That makes sense, I think. One map, multiple landmarks, patrol spawns, a more sensible target “detection” feature. Basically the same infrared but boosted 10x to detect at range for a short period.

I agree. The fire team is ruining it all. It makes the marines too exposed. However I think there needs to be a longer time limit so they can have more recovery time. It still balances the game so they can have a fire squad and distraction. Gives them a fighting chance to be on their toes. It is a pain in the butt to attack them at the chopper area due to the increase incoming fire coming at them. So basically it does make it harder for the predator to recover from injuries. Gotta rush and bash them and finish the other players after taking down the bots. The bots are annoying. Btw who here is annoyed to press Q to hover weapons when you can bind them? I had to use alternatives. I think the bind system needs fixing. It never works at all.

they can barely make one map that doesnt shit the bed graphically. get real.

Ok I am going to apologise, I had read up to 100 comments on this thread and then realised that theres over 400… so skipped to the last 50 and read through them too…

I personally think that target isolation could be tweaked, especially at the start of the game where the pred spawns in before the FT and practically gets a instant alert as to where the FT spawned, any pred could then make an educated guess as to where the FT could be headed. It does take away the hunt from the “hunting grounds” aspect to the game.

How about an alternative mechanic in game? Does anyone here remember Evolve? When the Hunters where chasing down the monster there were birds on the map that would spook if the monster got to close or ran past them. This could be implemented for the FT too, when the FT sets off the birds the Pred gets a audio/visual cue on screen to say that something has spooked them. This feature would also offer the FT the option of stealth too, so many times I have been so bored when all my FT just busts into a camp guns blazing, we are some sort of special forces and all we do is storm a camp?

Anyways I feel like this method would make the FT feel like they are being hunted and also make the pred feel like hes hunting. Could you imagine in game someone stepping on a branch? “crunch- Who tf set off the birds?! the pred is so going to be on our asses, move move move!”

Open to suggestions or changes but I think that could be a better alternative as they already have birds in game, all they need to do is increase the frequency of them.

I do hate repeating this. The predator spawns at the opposite infil location that the FT chooses, so you do not need to use the Isolation scan to find them at the beginning and make a guess as to where they could be headed.

You keep saying that but you still use target isolation and dont say you dont liar, and maybe that need fixing also by not having predator start opposite maybe spawning elsewhere!!!

Understandable, but this is not quite the problem we are facing though, the issue is the Pred isnt given enough time to “hunt” the FT, if you extend the game time/missions in game, then change target iso so its not “hey they are right there” it would be more interesting for both FT and Pred, I am sure most of the guys that play Pred want to hunt not “ok they spawned there, guess ill go either A or B as they are the most likely choices and just wait”

also currently with mudding up and cold perk, the thermal vision just isnt robust enough to rely on without additional mechanics. its just blue. there are no other mechanics other than spotting yellow specs on blue and half the time it is moving blue specs on blue. thermal vision is the issue if you want to remove isolation.

Agreed ingame time needs addressing and fire team missions lasting longer to enable more ingame time/fun

there are sound bubbles… but we already have that. looking around waiting to spot sound bubbles. super fun.
