not wanting to perform certain tasks in game because they are poorly implemented chores and unfun is not the same as being lazy.

Ok that makes sense, I can only speak from limited play time with Pred, If target iso got tweaked then a feel like maybe thermal vision should get tweaked according how iso got tweaked.
no one is lazy when it comes to taking down the fireteam. squinting to see shit moving on a completely blue screen isnt the height of skill and accomplishment either. you just gotta stand still and listen for gunfire eventually and go in that direction. that is functionally lazier than using isolation.
maybe instead we could have a taunt where the predator screams “MARCO” and the FT responds “POLO”
No your right but one push of a button to activate target isolation to locate a fire team is!!!

THAT would be fucking great xD. I know ppl like me who love messing around would fucking love that. Give it as an option to both pred and ft. So if they wanna go back and forth they can.
While playing Evolve I personally never found hunting the monster a chore, It was actually fun trying to anticipate what they are trying to do and determining their style of play, you actually felt like a hunter stalking its prey and I am sure thats how the Pred is meant to feel.
Yes but at the moment that is what the FT is forced to do, rush their objective guns blazing, once their mud runs out they know they can be spotted without much effort so whats the point of being silent? Give them a reason to be and they will and then the hunt will be on…

I just picture it like the pred yells out Marco, and on instinct a ft member says polo, then right after just yells FUCK cause he realizes all to late he fucked up xD.

I did say that if target Iso got tweaked then so too should thermal so that it would make FT easier to spot, I do actually want to be found as FT, what would be the point in playing if the Pred never found you?
i agree. isolation can be replaced with better mechanics. I’m all for that. the thing about this thread is that we all understand that you’ve got to be doing what Dead is describing here because people mud up and it nullifies isolation to begin with. so who knows why this thread exists. I would love if additional mechanics for tracking existed other than spotting gunfire bubbles or searching for moving blue pixels. there is the footsteps perk as well, still underwhelming IMO.
If that ever happens I so hope that someone was recording it and posts it here…

Yeah mudding up really does just nullify it, but if Illfonic are reading these forums and trying to take feedback on board, if both FT and Pred mains say that the tracking side of the game could be reworked then they may take some action on it.
In that case what would you change about the tracking side of the game? I am sure they would want to know what the Preds think of it too?

Hey Drakos, I dont think thats what Dead is trying to get at, if you read over the last few replies to the post then you will notice there has been some constructive feedback to all this.
If you have anything you would like to change and alter then just say, challenge what has been said in a constructive manner and potentially make a more interesting tracking method for Predator play.
