Well they got a functioning game. Shit, it took Modern Warfare 4-5 months just to add extra create a class slots and again, they have 400+ people. I know my friends and I want cross-play invites but we also understand that shit is hard. Look at Apex Legends. That launched February of last year. Huge success. Giant publisher in EA behind them and Respawn has 315 employees. And they still won’t have cross-play ready until the end of this year. Again, making a game is fucking hard. I’m not saying they should get a pass completely but people should temper their expectations considering the size of their team.

Data miners found 3 new map listings. They’re adding stuff each month. For a team their size I still think they’re doing a good job. If people feel ripped off they can try and get refunds with the platform store of their choice. My buddies and I are gonna keep playing.

Game functional? Eh that’s debatable. Que times can still be ass, there’s still bugs and glitches like certain objective based AI not spawning leaving you unable to do the objective, glitching under the map, med bags and ammo bags getting stuck in floors and walls and God knows what else.

But if you enjoy the game then good for you. Have fun playing it. But don’t give the Devs a pass for every bad thing they do. Because it won’t help the game in the long run.

I’ve never said they don’t need to add or fix anything. All I’ve said from my OP to now is just that people need to not be so toxic about the way they go about these things.

I want more content and want it to function properly but I’m also realistic about the time frame in which those things happen. Don’t expect 70 people to do the same things its takes teams of 300+ to do in the same amount of time or less.

Again, people are right to have issues with things but just shouldn’t be so cunty with how they go about it. Also they should give them some credit for the work they’ve done with the staff and resources they have.

This is the first forum I’ve ever been in and it was simply to post some feedback about private match connections, and so many posts are just raging mobs mentality and entitlement.

Yes, there are problems. Asking people to calm down or chill out is not blindly loving IllFonic, it’s to create a culture in the forum that isn’t incessant complaining.

Offering feedback is important. It’s unfortunate that IllFonic hasn’t had transparent communication to a lot of the feedback, but they know the issues. They didn’t comment at all about the tree mounting while claiming/eating bug, but they still worked on it. Just because you are not getting instant solutions doesn’t mean they aren’t working on the game.

I’ve said this before, but I know everyone who is really pissed at IllFonic is only pissed because they really want to love this game. I’m sorry you’re hurt but you don’t need to spread the cancer. Take a break from the game, check back next month.

Lol u dont understand its not the bugs most pple are angry about some of us including myself are unable to play the game at all as predator or fire team on PC where u end up finding an empty lobby
As a working professional spending your hard earned money on a product which is designed to entertain you after a screwed up day at work its definitely hard to deal with when you own a shitty product designed by illfonic devs

Judging by your post im guessing u are def a PS4 player so u dont have any issues PC players have which are more than just game breaking coz u cant even play the game at all

Dude I feel for you, and the other PC players.

Couple of points, illfonic probably didn’t actually pick the release date, Sony probably did. They probably did so based on projections (of the work that theoretically could be completed) and based on the release schedules of other games/the PS5. On top of that…
The pandemic happened, and a list of games was likely considered, this game was close enough to done. Release meant potential sales before a very scary recession that is likely still imminent.

This is unfortunately the new normal for video game releases even ignoring that second paragraph. Lastly, the feelings I get, the expression of those feelings on the forum does more harm that good for the things some of those angry people want.

PC will get better, the release and support of things like the payed dlc mean those fixes can happen.

All I am going to say is Days Gone had some ugly reviews and the last patch in 2020 everything was perfect its one of my favorite games right now.
its not how you start that matters its how you finish that counts

Well said my guy! I been saying this too from the jump. I’m having so much fun regardless of the flaws. This game will keep growing and they will keep polishing it. They have been listening to the community even though they don’t always respond. Bugs are being addressed and the dlc is just getting started. This will have longevity like dbd. Appreciate the work they put in to this game and continue to put in. I’m sure they a lot up their sleeve. I’d bet on it.
