The game is so broken, might as well let it die and start working on PHG2.

4 years now I never had complaints about bugs in the game because even though I constantly saw others complaint about bugs, I honestly never experienced any as a PC player.

But the current state of the game regarding bugs and the drastic changes the devs made to balance of the game, is really disappointing.

I wouldn’t mind to stay off the game until all the bug issues are fixed, but my problem is that I see the devs took the balance to a whole other direction and honestly the experience doesn’t feel fun any more.

What do you mean by that? Private games or public?

There’s nothing like “pure balance” in this game

Let me remind you a simple explanation:

Full premade PC team vs any pred (even so-.called top tier) in pubs = 100% win fo FT
Random pub game with mixed random FT and Pred= 55% win for FT
Decent pred in pub game vs random potato players = 100 % win for pred

It is that simple

Yeah that’s exactly what I am referring to when I say balance, exactly what you described.
If it was good or bad, fair or not, was subjective,
but it was what we were used to for years and so we had found our “balance”.

Sure Illfonic could make minor tweaks from time to time, but this latest update was like a total reset, which could have been refreshing, but personally I find it made the predator’s gameplay even more difficult and tedious, even against potato teams.

Mainly the choice to drain energy so quickly, I think it was unnecessary.

Then what are you complaining about? You’re not a holy many that speaks for both sides of PC and PS alike. You can’t be because there is no such thing. Find your sweet spot and play a variety.

Ngl this is true. I’ve won ONE match as Predator in the two times I’ve played since the update, when I used to dominate pubs. The energy reduction, buff to headshots, nerf to weapon damage, and buff to FT armor and that goddamn minigun makes playing Pred almost impossible. I’ve played FT this whole time, and it is so, so much easier now to shoot and track and chase and survive Preds. I’ve never had an easier time as FT than since 3.0, it feels so different. If we thought they balanced it more towards FT before, it’s so much worse now.

This coming from Samhain, one of the top players who has deep knowledge about the mechanics of the game, says a lot!
I personally felt that changing the energy drain rates was unnecessary and unfair, cause it affects tactics in so many ways.
But what convinced me that this was really bad design,
was the fact that I tried even sacrificing 2 perk slots and using both
“Modified reserves”
AND “Energy Cell”
and the energy still dropped like crazy!

But as I play exclusively as Pred (last time I played as FT was 3 years ago),
I didn’t know if it was just my opinion and taste
or if indeed there is something really wrong happening.

Im making a video talking about the nerfs in more details, but yea we already played privates, now its 4 arrows shots to down a scout lol, or assault/operative without thick skin, I used owlf operative and arrows were doing 40 dmg to me, imagine with multiple supports/dante/dutch. Preds needs to use more plasma caster I guess, but has less energy. Pistol and bow have shit dmg, Disk and Bolt can be easily destroyed now. Its just retardedd at this point.

You know, the way it works now, it feels like the devs want to force the Pred to become visible much more often than before,
so I am wondering if this something they did now that new Xbox players are joining the game to make it easier for them and harder for older players, in order to attract more new players and not frustrate them…

But for this theory to work, new players must play only as FT, so yeah… not sure.
Hard to believe it’s just due to stupidity…

Edit: Although even after the hotfix, I still see piggies floating vertically towards the sky, so stupidity being the answer, becomes more and more probable!

Remember when the game was released and it was easy to play the Pred? Remember when they increased FT damage, Preds felt like they were made out of paper, and everyone complained for months, years? Well, time to get used for another change, Preds are made out of toilet paper now.

Public matches were boring, they are tough now. Wanna easy relaxing game? Play FT. Wanna sweaty game? Play Pred. Wanna balanced game? Play private match with friends (they will happily agree on custom private game parameters to make the match challenge for them).

Use spear and throw it. At the moment it’ll make you win almost all public matches. New players don’t chase Preds and pigs spawn a lot. They get high damage, you get your victory and Predator queues are short. Win-win situation, isn’t it?

New bugs with every single update is perfect example of spaghetti code. Yes, the game needs to be rewritten, Illfonic knows it, we know it, aaand it will never happen. They are going to fix worst bugs, introduce new bugs we learn to live with. It is what it is. Hopefully someone more competent will make next Predator game in 2030.

You know I could try and get used to another drastic change as you say, but personally, I was already at my limit of having fun.
For me they need to at least undo the energy drain rates.

They just want the Pred to be handicapped, so f**k it.

EDIT: Oh! And they also lowered the amount of arrows you can carry, from 30 to 20! The amount of arrows!!! For a weapon that is SO easy to miss a shot, and you must run around picking up the arrows from the ground and walls afterwards and waste time!

I realized my arrow count was low while playing a match,
I knew that I hadn’t used that many arrows, for them to be so low,
but I was so pissed at the idea that they might have ALSO lowered the arrow amount,
that I didn’t even bother to check.
I just turned off the game and haven’t played since!
I honestly cannot believe the amount of consecutive stupid decisions they took!
