Have you ever seen professionals throw knives? If you throw any ol knife yeah itāll hit with the handle, but throwing knives are all counter balanced so always hits with the blade and with a strong enough throw itāll still cut through someone like butter.
Yeah. My brother owns balanced throwing knives and a throwing ax which Iāve practice with him. Also, I did archery for a few years in my early teens.
Just because a knife is balanced, you still have to judge the distance and rotation to land it point forward while also having consistent velocity. Iām sure people can do very impressive things when they already know how far away they are from the target and have spent many years practicing, but out in the world with moving targets, throwing your knife just disarmed you and armed your enemy, so you better be 100% sure that youāre going to land a miraculous disabling wound.
