The New FT Knife Meta

Okay so lvl 100 Pred hunter, I play a good mix of ranged and melee during each match. The last two matches I have played it was literally the FT hunting me right from the start. All 4 of them were just running with knives, 1 team ignored their mission completely. I killed 2 in both games. 1 team made it out, the other lost so they could play Fire Team: Predator Hunter…

IF needs to relook the knife, it can’t be so OP that it does more damage to the Pred than his wrist blades do to the Fire Team. Also the FT should not be faster than Michael Johnson in the '92 Olympics.

if you don’t carry net or bow then just jump off cloak and plasma

Maybe a good way to counter this is if the FT ignores the mission, larger and larger waves of AI storm their positions with increasing damage, or maybe a countdown timer if missions go undone that starts chipping away at health, I don’t know, but that shit is ridiculous.

select plasma cannon keep him at distance if he switches to weapon then you use blades
do plasma combo

literaly milions of ways to do it

Just kinda felt cheated on the fun during those two games. In fact, it wasn’t even fun. I play conservative, there was just no way to expose myself without getting team sniped.

More AI would be a good idea. The Fireteam isn’t trying to complete the mission, so Stargazer is able to send out backup for their present troops without having to worry about the FT immediately blasting them all.

They already nerfed it so I don’t see a problem here.
FT needs to be able to fight back too.

You are gonna get a lot of comments saying “knives aren’t that bad get gud” well ignore them. Knives are ridiculous at the moment. I played lots of predator but shit loads more as the FT cause of the wait times, and I literally pull my knife out at the very sound of the predator. It’s absolutely busted right now.

Fight back yes, which is why we have guns. Kinda silly my first reaction to seeing my teammate get thrashed by an alien is to pull out my knife and butcher it in 3 seconds lol.

So if they change the knife’s to larger machete would it be better then?
Considering in many of the movies there were iconic scenes of the humans fighting predators with bladed weapons?

Hopefully you have infinite bear traps and the other 3 don’t kill you while you toggle through that weapon wheel

Well first off, which scenes? Lol when billy got Slapped? When Danny glover was able to kill one using a predator weapon AND it had been shot 8 times by a shotgun blown up with a grenade launcher had its arm cut off and fell through a building? Yeah he really fought it 1v1 there lol. My point is, the damage needs to be significantly nerfed. If you plan on hitting the ground as the predator to kill anyone and they aren’t completely alone and you don’t bring the net gun forget about it

I’d like machetes just cause that would be bad ass. And maybe that could even be one of there weapon slots because of how much damage they do. But right now you just automatically load in with a death machine that makes you run faster, negate melee damage, and does booku damage

I think I speak for all predator fans when I say fuck that scene. We all saw that and went. Wait. Did he just kill a predator… with a sword? Now again this is subjective so if you love that awesome more power to you.
