I enjoy these “you just have to parry” people…the predator can basically just spam melee over and over and over eventually you will lose that battle. The predator is pretty op and was before (most just didn’t take the time to learn him) and if you can’t kill as the predator I hear that new animal crossing game is all the rage.
The predator is absolutely overpowered in the current state of the game.

It really does come down to the skill of the players. I’ve seen matches feel overbalanced in both directions.
There are FT’s who are trying to play the objective, then there are FT’s who are just trying to kill the Pred. You’ll notice the latter team does about 3x as much damage as most other teams. They use things like the 7EN and Magnum, plus the extra damage perk. They deal so much damage that the pred does not dare challenge them with melee unless one is totally isolated, and you hesitate to use range because you will likely give away your position. It only takes 3 or 4 shots from one of the sniper rifles to destroy your biomask, then the game is much more in favor of the FT.
In short, there’s just such a HUGE difference between leveled up players and newish players. Maybe that gap should be shortened a little or something, I don’t know.

maybe at the higher ranks you may be correct but at the lower ranks the predator is far from op. im rank 23 or so. the fact alone that the fireteam can heal in 3 seconds and be back to shooting again while the predator takes about 30 seconds to heal is proof enough he isnt OP.
Why do people say their level? Just because you are level 100 doesn’t mean you are a good player i really think its dumb that people always say this. Now i understand being higher level means more experience in game but quit saying it like it makes you so great.

This indicates to me that you don’t understand how to properly play as FT and are of a lower skill level, which is fine, but it does invalidate your opinions on balancing. Whilst you or your teammate is parrying, the team should be dumping ammo into the Predator, causing him to leave and heal or go into second-wind. The former should be followed by a quick regroup to top up health/ammo before continuing the mission and the latter usually ends in the FT going on the hunt for an easy kill.
@White_Worm Of course it depends on the skill level of the FT and the Predator and that seems to be lost on most people. No amount of balancing is going to cause good players to lose to bad players and if that does happen, the game is no longer balanced. The Predator is very strong against poor players and gets weaker as the quality of opposition rises ending in a higher skill ceiling for FT over Predator which is where and why the game isn’t quite balanced right now.

If you’re FT just stay together and keep an eye on each other. Unless you’re awful at aiming you’re going to win 90% of the time. If somebody has the perk that lets you complete interactions faster then it’s even easier. I could go on about extra ammo and medkits but I think it’s getting redundant at this point.
The main reason you’ll ever lose is that you probably weren’t paying attention to either your team and/or how the Pred is playing. The cloak is an absolute joke. The only saving grace of the cloak is that you’re completely invisible if you don’t move but unless you have the bow you have little reason to unless you’re waiting. Even though you’re completely still, guess what? They can still tag you.
I think the cloak needs a couple buffs. Moving while using it is almost as visible as if you didn’t even have it on. Like I said above the FT can still tag you if you aren’t moving. If they think you’re on a branch or a building they can spam the tag until it lands on you which is just stupid.
Agreed, Predator needs a huge stealth buff that will encourage that kind of gameplay which would overall benefit everyone playing the game. It would be nice to be ambushed as a FT instead of hearing/seeing the Predator before it can get anywhere close.

So I just started to upload videos of this game on my YouTube channel and I just finished a game to where if this FT I faced is as bad as you guys say FT are, my lord. I mean I’ve had way harder matches but only actually lost 2 or 3 out of all games I’ve played, And all my games have been predator. Haven’t even touched FT yet yet for matchmaking. But yea check out the couple vids I’ve uploaded. The newest one being my last game and holy Christ they were baaaad.

I write about this on the forum since the release of the game. One-button Berserkers who win only due to the fact that they kill FT faster than they kill him - break the balance in the game.
A berserker can simply find a team and kill all for minute. Stupid broken balance.

But this does not mean that Predators need to be stupidly nerfed in terms of health. No. They need to be buff in terms of secrecy, silence, stealth, etc. Make the Predator a good cloak, make them quieter. It should be a stealth killer, a killer, and not a dumbhead maniac with a stick who does not care about the fire from all the guns.
The meta game for the Predator should not be like playing a dumb slasher, in which you just need to clicked out the enemies with the left mouse button. This should be a tactical game in the spirit of Stealth action, where you need to study your target and kill it invisibly when it is alone. But the game does not have all of this.
The berserker is a heavy hitting clumsy brute, yes he has hp, yes he will eff you up if you let him, but no he will not win if you use your head and coordinate your teams attacks.
Its down right outrages to see this community full of cry kids asking dev to buff the pred around so thy can actualy win vs a good ft
What if thy actualy change and buff what you want for example
No more ft reinforcement
Stealth buff
No more spotting
Reverse the plasma gun To 1 shot kill
And these are just a few of all the Buff you want to a pred
This Buff list make no sense. You could just ask them to add An i win buttom for cry pred vs a good FT. The game in its State now need Some work on both side Bud stop asking for shit that make no sens and be constructieve
