I don’t really understand what’s wrong with certain socialist things. I mean, aren’t unemployment benefits socialist? And here in Australia we all pay towards the Medicare system which would also be classified as socialist (and which happens to work very well, I might add).

Yeah, I get you. I just never know what to think when Americans start talking about the fears of socialism haha. Not trying to be a dickhead or anything, just that some of the stuff I see on American news makes me think that people are hostile towards any form of it (like the smearing of Bernie Sanders that happened).
