So I saw this video in the feedback section of the forum and upon watching some small portions mentioned by other commentators on the OP, which I will link here as well, I decided I had to go in on it and see what all he had to say and what was wrong with his perception so here we go. TL DR warning ahead.
I like where you showed a clip of someone just being a total retard spinning to try to grab instead of functioning like a normal human being and specifically targeting the person. You might as well have just showed a clip of FT on PHG just spraying in all directions and then bitching that you missed all your shots. Idiot.
Wait wait wait. For your point at 6:50 about the game lacking content… was to show a clip of you in a game… without a Predator? That’s like joining a Dead By Daylight game where the killer is AFK and using that to criticize the game or even Overwatch or anything else where the entire opposing players are just gone. What a dumbass point to make. Yeah the game needs more content but how much content was in League of Legends when it launched? I rest my case.
You keep ragging on about in match content… World of Tanks. Bunch of shit outside of it sure. In the actual game play? Not so much. Pretty linear and straightforward. Kill the other tanks. That’s it. The experience is in the competition and the actual combat itself. This isn’t fucking Skyrim or the Witcher or whatever. It doesn’t need mounds of shit on top of it. Wouldn’t be opposed to it but the experience is what it is largely about.
Dead by Daylight has one mode. World of Tanks has, or had until super recently, one mode. Plenty of games have one mode or only a few modes. So what? What’s the issue? Especially since they have confirmed, at least as I see it, they intend to have new modes come out and probably new maps. So? Evolve had five modes but I’m willing to bet four of those were behind pay walls. Just like everything in that fucking game. What a disingenuous comparison to make. Not saying it only having one mode is good and it should only be one but it’s not that big of a deal honestly. Willing to bet if I went and did the research on those Evolve I would find that many of those weren’t even initially available even behind paywalls or some other bullshit like what they pulled.
Three maps. Ok. Yeah. I wish there was more but is that some heinous crime against humanity? Hardly. Many games only start out with a few maps. Not seeing your point here and will proceed to ignore these as these are largely superficial complaints you are kind of bloating out of proportion.
Digital deluxe edition… eh. Twenty bucks more for a few skins is bs but the rest of it is like kind of novelty shit that some people are into. Can’t say I share that but whatever. I have certainly seen worse cash grabs albeit this is still largely a cash grab but when everyone continues to buy tons of micro transaction bullshit at that point whose fault is it really? You can’t reward a child for stealing chocolate by giving him chocolate and expect him not to steal.
I would like to see what statistics you have to back up the dying claim. Oh just anecdotal shit? Ok. Dismissing that until I see some numbers. Next.
So the defuse now, actually getting into mechanics now at… 20 minutes in. Oh boy. The defuse… yeah. I have defused it pretty quickly, long before the final laugh of the Predator preceding the self destruct detonation. This complaint is largely a skill based complaint. It’s not meant to be easy but once you have done it a few times it isn’t much of an issue. The biggest problem I saw was you guys largely just kinda spammed the buttons and panicked. All you have to do is keep your cool and you’ll usually get the defuse. It’s not difficult.
Also you do get rewarded bonus experience and, I think, Veritanum for successfully defusing and protecting the body. Your complaints about the AI horde following it… yeah it’s kinda silly but so what? Why are you throwing hissy fit over that shit?
The next thing too was really dumb. It takes 7 minutes to be a Predator because everyone wants to be Predator. Yeah. I mean… of course they do. So what? Now the que time can be a pain in the ass and such but with the recent patch it has gotten a lot better from what I have seen but I understand not wanting to wait and stuff but you just basically bitched about everyone wanting to play a character you wanna play. Que times are always gonna have issues, so what?
I love that at 23:20ish. “You wanna play as this guy?” -Shows footage of a hunter attacking them, idiot Fireteam lets him claim to people with little response and makes no effort to evade his attacks but just tries to tank through it.- “You can’t play as him!” Hunter is available from Level 1. Derp.
So the clip at 25:30. There are several issues with your criticism here. First off when you died. There was ‘nothing’ you could have done huh? Thundering footsteps in your ears telling you he is near and running. Camera shaking with the weight of his cock smashing against the ground. Nothing you could have done? Maybe if you had turned around that would have been a start. You could have pulled out your knife or just mashed melee to parry him while pulling back to your team so they could help you. I understand your frustration because it can be rough but when you failed to even detect him despite how obvious it was… I think the problem is more you. Hell you didn’t even react until he had hit you like four times. That’s just you bud. Why would you ignore him like that and then bitch when he kills you?
Second problem, that guy that he downed in THREE hits, was at half health. Nice of you to omit that but we can see the health bar retard.
Thirdly… you can be resurrected via Reinforcements. You probably meant revived but given that previous issue I just mentioned I think you actually did mean respawn.
Fourth problem… what shots are you talking about? I heard a lot of gun fire but I saw next to nothing actually hit him. Every time he takes even a single round there is a blood spurt from his body indicating a hit. I saw virtually no rounds hit him. If you’re a terrible shot… that’s on you. Not the game. A single clip from about any gun can take even a Berserker down to at least a third of his health or even lower so your whole argument following that just isn’t fucking true. You’re a terrible shot, get over it. Fucking potato.
If you are playing against a Berserker you lose! I have killed plenty of Berserkers of varying degrees of skill. It is entirely feasible. And I’m not particularly good at Fireteam either.
Finally an actual serious complaint about the matchmaking. Yeah, I do wholeheartedly agree there should be some level of level restriction, at least for lower levels and new players, so they don’t get matched with seasoned veterans that just annihilate them outright. Makes for a poor experience for everyone so I’m totally on board with you there.
28:30 two downs with the spear?! You had like a quarter health bud, cool your tits. If you don’t wanna die super quick… try using those syringes you have two of and didn’t touch idiot. The rest of your in game complaint… yeah you were all there but… firstly you broke LOS of your team. You deserved everything you had coming to you for that. If you’re gonna break LOS with your team you don’t get bitch at them for not being right there with you as you did. You fucked up, you deserved to die for it. Secondly the whole while he was running at you no one was shooting. They could have poured substantial amounts of ammo into him but they didn’t. No one healed after he did his slam so you were all in two tap territory and you were all too close which allowed him to do that damage anyways. Keep your intervals close but don’t pile up into a fucking cuddle puddle then get mad when you get punished for it.
Berserkers aren’t unbalanced. They have slow stamina regen so that means if they goes ball outs like they did there and a COMPETENT, not pro league but just average, Fireteam punishes him for all those swings… he has NO WAY BACK OUT. He has to run, not leap, but run and the more he runs the harder it is to get stamina back to leap away. Yes he has more health than the others but that not some insane amount more. If you are a Berserker and you rush like that you should, more often than not, lose that engagement and that is what happens. That’s just the facts.
Also level 50 is not the maximum level.
You have a problem with loot boxes? Like ok if you had to pay cash for it sure but you earn this shit with in game currency and can’t even actually buy it. So… why are you being a little bitch? You can also just use that to just straight buy the cosmetics you want outright and you have the potential to get a 25k item for 500. If that’s not a fucking bargain then I don’t know what is.

I can count on one hand how many times I have disconnected in this game. Anecdotal sure and I am sure PC has had more issues but the rest of this bullshit is anecdotal sewage so that is just as valid.

33:11 competitive asymmetrical games do not have to have any focus on story. It’s not about story. It’s about the gameplay. It’s pretty much all in the competitive experience of the game and mechanics and shit. No one bought this game expecting a fully fleshed out Aliens versus Predator 2 experience or any shit like that. They bought this game to hunt or be hunted. Story and a campaign is always welcome but not required.
I am willing to put down good money that I am more of a fan of the Predator and even Alien franchise than you are bud. In fact this game has actually made me a bigger fan of the Predator franchise and I have been delving so much more into it than I ever had before. So your fandom of the franchise is irrelevant. And I love how you expect Arnold to just do all the voice shit for the character and the game for free. Way to be a fan.

So yeah. This whole video is a lesson in confirmation bias. This game has issues, I’m not gonna deny that. The que times can be a bitch and there is a lot of work to be done for sure. But a lot of your complaints were largely superficial and totally jaded coming from your own failings and instead of getting good you got mad. This game is rough. It ain’t easy on either side of the spectrum. Fireteam going against a good Predator can feel overwhelming even if you are decent. Predator has a steep learning curve to it. But it is clear that you encountered these issues upfront, or generally just don’t like asymmetrical games as what you have stated a few times here does seem to suggest a general dislike of which is perfectly fine, and instead of judging the game on its merits you cherry picked a bunch of shit that supported what you already felt and ignored the rest. I have seen plenty of your previous reviews but I can tell when you are letting your bias do the talking because instead of actually giving fair criticisms of its pros and cons when you dislike something you focus entirely upon the latter and disregard anything else. And that’s why I don’t put any real stock into your reviews. Even your review of the Predator 2018 movie was more favorable than this and that movie was a fucking travesty, a fucking insult to anyone that loves the Predator franchise and disgustingly so.The fact that you had more positive criticism of that then this game… tells us all we need to know about how much of a ‘fan’ you really are. And that’s all I have got to say.
