I assume he won’t and even if he did he wouldn’t address or acknowledge it. But it was never about that anyways but dissecting his shit for everyone to see. A lot of what I saw with his stuff was that he let his own personal experience bias the shit too much and didn’t have much in the way of objective criticism for someone that is apparently all about reviews. A lot of it was nit picking at things and blowing them out.

I totally agree and that is all stuff to be considered too but if you are going to do a review of something for other people you need to set your own shit aside and objectively analyze it. It’s one thing if I go bitch to my neighbor that I don’t like a game or movie or whatever because I am just spouting off and shit. It’s entirely another to essentially get paid for my opinion and nothing wrong with that but you need to be reasonable and this video was just a bunch of, honestly, entitled bullshit. He had one valid complaint in 43 minutes that was actually a real problem, beyond just the game ques, and that was it. Total sham video.

I do agree with Joe on the lack of content and a bunch of flaws the game has however I think he did a poor job of reviewing the game since most of it seemed emotional rather than factual. All he really did was just trash the game and I know that’s his opinion but this will unfortunately deter a lot of newer players from trying out the game.

Found it funny that he used evolve to compare yet he trashed that one hard as well. Love both these games in their own way. I knew going into HG that it wasent going to be any kind of GoTY nominee but it can still become good enough to stand as a flagship for the asymmetrical genre

Joe is extremely hit or miss on a lot of things. A lot of the time I just watch his channel for background noise when doing chores around the house, lol.
He brings up a ton of good points, but I think a few of them are not wholeheartedly accurate. Like saying no one is playing the game, or everyone keeps experiencing connection issues. I think their crossplay matchmaking is still borked in a variety of ways. Or they have something enabled where it tries to 50/50 the platforms on majority of the matches. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a match with all PC players come to think of it, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
Regarding connection issues, it’s unfortunately clear they still exist, but for whatever reason the severity is different from person to person, platform to platform, and potentially region to region. 🤷🏻♂️
I think the most accurate complaint is the lack of maps and modes. Just overall content. Aside from small and annoying bugs, the only “crucial” stuff I’ve experienced were messed up queues around launch. Never saw a great deal of disconnects like he showed though.
Game does need attention and that’s no lie. But I’d like to stay hopeful and think it’s going in the right direction. Even if it’s a bit slow.
PHG should’ve been delayed and given more content. Or been $15-$20 with a roadmap given shortly after launch. I’d like to think the future DLC will be more substantial, like more maps (varied ones), modes, etc. New characters & weapons are cool and all, but the game needs a lot more if they want that longevity. I hope we’re passed the audio DLC so that everything else we receive, especially free, is more substantial.

Angry Joe wants to play on gaming journalist mode because he’s trash and that’s why we get reviews like this.
There are problems with this game but they’re pretty much all in the actual gameplay and Joe will never know what they are because he’s playing at the lowest level.
Biggest issues are:
No crossplay
Fireteam super OP
More content will come eventually just as it did with Friday the 13th, this is how Illfonic operates and I don’t know why anyone expected any more than that.

Personally I loved F13, even with all its jank. It was different, true to the IP, and enjoyable. I just hate that the whole court case happened because there was soooo much planned content coming. I feel like F13 had a bit more content going for it at launch, but it was also full price, and was a Kickstarter originally. So it had a larger budget, team, development time, etc. But it did get better after time. That will definitely happen here too.
I just hope that the free and paid DLC drops aren’t all we’re getting. Here’s to hoping for some surprise drops.

Exactly lol I’ve seen people disarm the bomb within 5 seconds. The only time I ever got the bomb to actually go off was because I managed to get on top of a roof before they killed me.

I’m hoping that since NECA are releasing the Alpha Predator figure on June 1st it’ll be a nice surprise drop before the official June DLC
Not to mention Evolve did a ton of sketchy pay wall shit to boot.
Give this game time to ramp up. If the developers/community don’t abandon it, we can expect a very solid game in about a year and I don’t mind coming back every so often until then.
Plenty of games have been bad or had very little content at launch and now they’re awesome.
Games such as:
Friday the 13th, Rust, The Forest, Mordhau, 7 Days to Die, No Man’s Sky, Elder Scrolls: Online, Rainbow Six: Siege, Destiny, Crusader Kings 2, Vampire: The Masquerade and Civilization 5 just to throw out a handful.
All of these games had developers who were very active with constant updates and had a dedicated community (even a small one). Predator will have a community just as Friday did and I see no indication that the developers are going to stop.

I mean most of the issues he mentioned are not even abnormal for most games especially at launch. But the way he presents it was this was totally unique and beyond the pale and the fact is that this shit happens. Since this last patch too I have seen que times go down considerably and while there are still some occasional connection issues this stuff happens too. Ultimately most of this video was taking problem any games face and exaggerating it and using it to make it sound unheard of.
