The Rules of the Melon Men

Dear all,

It’s been brought to my attention that certain members of our group have been toxic to other members of the forum and to fellow players.

I would like this to serve as a reminder to the Melon Men, and also be witnessed by members of this forum as the official stance of a co-founding member of the Melon Men.

The rules for your behavior, Melon Men, are -

  1. Be nice to everyone.
  2. Don’t start shit with anyone.
  3. Play to win.

If you are in violation of these rules, stop now. If you cannot or choose not to stop, please remove yourself from our group. You may be having some difficulties in life that take precedent over your affiliation with our group, and that is fine.

You may excuse yourself with no ill will from me or @Forever_Mello, my fellow co-founding member. You may request, if you so choose, to be reinstated if you quietly remove yourself, address your personal challenges, and ask to return.

If you choose not to stop and choose not to remove yourself, you will be unilaterally removed. Being banished is irrevocable.

So, in conclusion and in no uncertain terms, chill the fuck out. You are not entitled to represent me in my absence if you choose to be an asshole to people.

Good question.

“Be nice to everyone” does include racists, but only in the sense that we do not provoke or start shit with anyone.

That said, being nice, and not starting shit, does not mean that we associate with them.

You may judge them how you see fit.

It is entirely possible to judge, criticize and condemn someone’s ideals while still not attacking anything about the individual.

You may attack toxicity without becoming toxic.
