On a personal level, I rarely use macros (eg back in Battlefield 2 I made a number of communication macros that I could use to send what was effectively a DM to a commander that I was near certain enemy locations, and if they gave me a supply drop, I could blow up more of their equipment). On a company-wide level, generally the use of macros should be relatively annoying/cumbersome in execution for a game like PHG, usually prevention of macro execution is fairly invasive in nature on user’s PCs, and the use of EAC does a pretty decent job of stopping hacks. We have seen reports of some animation cancelling stuff and we’ve been able to replicate it (These can be done without macros, but macros make it more consistent). I can’t comment on next steps, but the combo projectile attacks I’ve seen are not intended gameplay.
What ? So , from what I can understand from this , are you saying they should be annoying to setup to use on this game? As for EAC , macros aren’t hacks? And being invasive to stop macros? Am I the only person that doesn’t understand what is being said? 😁

I think there is confusion. Normally, in FPS games, macros are not helpful. They’re usually helpful in MOBAs and MMOs, where abilities are structured around timing. In FPS games, it’s more aiming, reaction, and so on. Macros will often make things worse, as they force actions that may not have situational ability and can cause deaths while activating. Aim bots, chams, and the such are much more problematic for FPS games. But we are constantly looking at player feedback and are aware of some ways that macros can make the game not fun for other players.

Macros make things worse? Like rapid fire? Escaping the net? Cancelling animations? Isnt there macros to reduce recoil in fps games?
All this time I thought people were cheating on pc , but they were just trying to give console players a better chance at winning 🙄

kidding…Couriers response to macros sounded legit. As if he didn’t take the response from something like “Saved Game Hacks” and swap it with the word “macros”.

People use macros in FPS’s because macros are trash duh.
Everyone knows you empty the entire clip if you use a turbo button so theyre pointless and theres absolutely nothing in between /s
But really, Seems to be trying to say macros are too hard to detect regardless because its hardware so theyll just nerf whatevers being macro’d which isnt surprising but it sucks for people that can tap while aiming without third party assistance because the fire rate on their guns have to be nerfed into the ground & be cumbersome and terrible.
Oh yeah and aim bots are worse than macros because obviously.

I’ve been using a netgun macro since the game came out. They said they fixed it. They did not. I reported it. Said it was still doable. Even suggested getting rid of the “mini-game” and make just a flat out timed interaction. They did not listen. It literally took for me to blatantly say I was exploiting them and for a lot of people to get salty for it for them to actually acknowledge it and consider doing something about it.

About the Grimtech, also suggested lowering the fire-rate (and seems like the 1011 is also exploitable but doesn’t work on my PC, so, who knows). Here’s hoping they do something about it too.
Regardless, at the current state, the game is still broken as hell. Specializations were added to aid potatoes and give them a better chance of survival, yet 90% of the time they don’t use them. And half the time when they do use them, they do a braindead combo like assault-deadly with a sniper rifle. Or unleashed without explosives.
They need to come up with better ideas for balancing the gameplay for everyone, and that will require analysis on players win-rate/damage-rate and adjusting levels to an even playing field. Otherwise, game will always be broken for veterans or potatoes.
