Maneater was Publicly Funded. They just waited till they had more than enough money to make there game instead of just making a game then asking for money via dlc to finish there game.

r u sure about what y0ou know about privately funded games. Because thats why they are privately funded. You wont know unless you ask the right people. i’m not one of those people. sounds like you care less about both sides of the story. There are very few people here that is outspoken about what they know about a particular topic, why dont you be one of those people? I would love to know more about why this and that about funding. Its particularly lacking on this forum, lest you be apart a hate party of ignorance and disrespect.
I believe Mass is trying to say that the Predator IP is not solely owned by IllFonic. The other games you mentioned seem to solely or mostly own their own IPs.

spot on. This has been a hot topic in the Alien franchise as well for the last 20+ years in gaming for various reasons.

I do have to say, look how many people got Aliens: Fireteam Elite at launch, and how many people still play it today. That game pretty much died within 60 days. Yet here we are playing PHG almost 2 years later. With all the bugs and performance issues we didn’t have on A:FE
Now to the devs, take notice of this. You have a good product. It has great potential (still). People keep coming back to it because we love it, as it is. Do us good. Listen to our feedback. Try your best on giving us fixes for the things we complain, instead of giving us meaningless shaders that nobody cares about.
At this point most people will be happy to play a single map if it means the game will run like butter and we get rid of most bugs. Like the broken balance with the DPS race is not even that important if you fix gameplay mechanics. Leaping, tracking, ADS, etc.

Listen… I’ve explained this to many people and have directly messaged members of the Illfonic team with sincere concerns. Maybe it was taken as a threat or maybe it was taken as a warning. Either way, I understand that these are people too.
However, there have been some inexcusable errors lately. Exiled predlocks are still unavailable to this day. We are still bonking off of random geometry as pred and flying sky high. Hit reg is still shoddy at times, a long-time issue that has been overlooked. The tree climbing bugs in which the predator goes goofy and does… Odd things. Spazzing out and walking on air. Melee tracking. Canceled interactions. And recently, the horrendous predator models for the Supers and Wolf.
I understand things can be tough, I really do get it. Remember this thread I made?
I’m still here after all the bullshit. Maybe I have an addiction, but no one can say I don’t care. Except for @Durbs2001. He smells.
Point is, quality of life is a problem with this game and as players, we have no power or ability to improve it. You guys have to put the work in. And once again, myself and a few others would be ecstatic to work with Illfonic, paid or unpaid, to squash the issues we’re having. No one is going to go “OOOOOH LOOK AT ME, IM WORKING WITH THE DEVS” and wave it around like a prize. At least, I’m not going to. And no one is going to chastise you guys for reaching out in your times of need.

Look at the charts on steam alone and it shows you how the player base has shrunk in less time than PHG has
If 30 friends are needed to play the way one wants to exploit it (ie, the way PC newbies want Deathsquads) then at least there are PS randoms which you have no charts for which probably equates to 4x as many.
