I mean thats assuming a lot about how yautja society works. The truth is, all species, have the urge to have sex. Its instinctual, something we all have. Its the only way that nature could ensure the species would continue on. As without the urge, we would likely have died of long before we ever even got close to evolving into humans as we are today.
Yautja most likely also have this urge. Might not be as strong, but its still there.

Yautja though are a lot like humans in many ways. Just better in every way. Their strength, speed, reflexes, sight, and hearing all seem to be superior. They have psychics in their gene pools. They have access to metals and chemicals we don’t even know about, let alone understand. They seem to have a culture that is utterly unafraid and accepting of death, and they have some BOSS looking drugs.
Like I just wonder what kinds of psychedelics they have and utilize in their culture, because their meds have a kick that defies belief. I bet there’s a stimulating rush that accompanies the extreme pain as well. Something akin to a super alien upper / pain relief. I believe it’s also got nanotech. That would potentially explain how it repairs tissue so fast.

I haven’t seen any AVP, or The Predator yet. I’ve heard people say that they’re not canon? Do people argue about that?
Predators wasted Laurence Fishburne so fast, and so badly. Fuck! Jesus! They killed morpheus! That was a good character too at first before they went with that stupid PTSD bullshit about him being too scrambled to trust any of them. That’s a harmful stereotype too. Total waste of a good actor, and character concept.
Okay honestly predators is my favorite. It shows different subspecies but its just overall a solid pred movie.
As for AVP, avp isnt canon, technically. Its its own canon I guess. Still, its always worth taking avp shit into account imo because why not.

The only thing I like out of The Predator was the Assassin Predator and the whole genetic enchantment minus the autism part, that wasnt nesscary imo.

There’s been such a shitstorm about that movie, and I hate it, because based on my research it’s kinda bad, but it gets a lot of weird attention for the Autism plot line. . . which is really kinda gross, because it’s like wow. . . didn’t know people were so mad about autistic people having something kinda positive, even if it IS a flawed old stereotype about us and computers. . . Obviously not all autistic ppl are computer geniuses. We have a wide range of special interests and talents. We can also hear electricity better than allistics from what I understand.
The movie I’ve heard is really poorly made is the other problem. Just in general . . . I’m not excited for it. I’ve been putting it off.
Yeah… I dont know how to feel about it tbh. It was really a weird movie. Lots of dumb shit story wise. But the plus side is the special effects are solid.
Predators felt culturally like a massive step back from 1, and 2. Especially 1. 1 is surprisingly the best, even with the bigot redneck, because well realistic portrayal if we’re being honest there. Also he was kinda hilarious in that no one took him serious, and it kinda came off that everyone thought the redneck was obnoxious. Even tho he DID kinda die like a badass I have to grant. . .
I felt like aside from the serial killer twist I was a bit unhappy with some of the choices they made like killing Danny Trejo (Again) . . . I mean. . . I saw him first in spy kids when I was a kid, so I’m like WTF why we always killing Danny Trejo these days??? Awwww, I just can’t take it for real. His fake macho mexican gangster thing makes me headcanon that he’s bluffing that ENTIRELY lmao.
Tbh thats the thing about the predator franchise though. It always comes down to a 1v1. (thats why I feel the game needs to be balanced around 1v1s to some extent). The majority of the cast always dies. And the last one outplays pred.
That being said they had such a good cast in predators, but so many of them died waaaay too soon lol.

That’s something I always kinda hated. Thru the movies I be rooting for predator to win but it’s always the same outcome. Can’t we have just 1 movie where he has a successful hunt?

I mean if we go “Successful Hunt” route, we’re gonna have to do the “cast is full of assholes” thing again. . . which is fine, I guess? But I always kinda wanted a “Yautja abduct/saves a human and raises them to be a hunter” storyline, and honestly it’s just kinda unrealistic that they’re ALL hunters. They need a more fleshed out culture, and more branches of interest and ways to have renown in their society.
In AVP you get a small bit of that tbh. The first avp is solid. AVP2 is a direct sequel but it isnt as good imo. That being said the predator in avp2 is fucking gnarly cool.

Personally I headcanon that the Yautja are trans dimensional gengineered humans. Their Culture is so hunt obsessed because in another dimension/timeline portions of the human race were abducted, genetically modified, and bred to be a slave warrior race. Canonically they overthrew that bug species a LONG ass time ago right?
I believe their spirituality must be based on some higher truth they’re aware of, and not mindless zealotry and fanaticism. For example, I headcanon that the Yautja soul/psychic energy field is near immortal. That they use small nukes not only to preserve their tech from technologically inferior interesting species they’re hunting, but also to free their psychic fields from their bodies 100% to ensure they’re able to be reincarnated again.
These are a species so powerful, and so far spread across the galaxy that they can hold Xenomorph Queens captive, and breed that species to have controlled hunts. These people are successful at what Weyland Yutani were trying to do and always fucking up. Think about that.
Tbh this thread is the first time ive heard about the psychic stuff. But that does sound extremely cool no lie.
