As far as born with penis and/or vag. . . I mean sure. Now that’s probably what a large portion of Yautja are born with. One of those two. TBH I was surprised at the afab preds having tits, but not adversely. I thought it was kinda silly, as I’d always thought they were a scaly race, but I guess not?

I believe the Yautja probably have occasional intersex kids that are borne like us, and would probably definitely have trans, and enby individuals being born. There’s no reason to assume they wouldn’t naturally have that, as LGBT stuff DOES pop up in a lot more than just humans contrary to popular belief. Science backs me up. But this is sci-fi, and sci-fi I argue should be inclusive. SOME shows always prided themselves on that like Star Trek, and others. . . though there are serious fuck ups in the history of sci-fi, and star trek definitely has its flaws.
well the Predator Franchise has kinda remained a low brow experience by comparison.
I think that’s cuz of lazy writing, and because similarly to the Alien Franchise the Pred franchise has stagnated and struggled with trying to be up to date and inclusive. The Autism thing does seem weird, and unnecessary, but it also pissed off the right people, so I kinda give it a pass even though as someone with autism it makes my eyes kinda roll hearing about what they did already.
I think having a culture that isn’t binary, and sexist and about just primitive stuff like hunting (as cool as hunting IS) would be GOOD for the franchise. The idea that females don’t even notice males until they’re blooded sounds kinda ridiculous to me, but that’s canon right?

Couple of points, I was elsewhere.
Penguins can be trans. There was a penguin that wasn’t just gay, they were treated as a female by the rest of the colony. So it isn’t only humans.
Second point…
Pred 1, Pred 2, AVP, AVPR, Predators and The Predators are all canon to the game. Along with Stalking Shadows the prequel novel, (it’s not bad).

Well we can gather a LOT from their hunts.
Which are clearly when it comes to US only for sport, and they’ve been doing it for a long time.
I wonder why, and the answers always kinda just boil down to “Cuz it’s fucking fun, and scary.” They’re the darker parts of us in these movies. It’s Elder Horror conceptually. Making US prey. Having a race of beings that much more powerful that they CAN do that to us. Thing is to me, if they were evil, or truly despicable they could genocide us off the map. They literally leave little old ladies alone. That wins me points.
It was in a piece about homosexuality in nature, the Penguin was the cutes part. Taking turns with the other females keeping eggs warm.

Honestly until females were included in this game, I didnt think preds even had sexes. That or if they did they were very binary as one could assume from the lack of female hunters that they would have a male dominant society (much like ours throughout most of history). But the female hunters threw that out the window for me so I have no idea.
True. It shows they have some honor to some extent. And only act in the interest of their honor. There is no honor in killing a defenseless unarmed old lady (if anything its actually dishonorable)
I always felt like if they were hunting us since Samurai days, and flintlock pistol days they’ve been keeping tabs on us, and our developments, but also maybe scaling their tools down to keep things interesting? They don’t seem interesting in skinning, or spine/skull ripping people who don’t pose a legitimate threat to them. They probably don’t seem eager to share their shit with us for the most part, because well…fucking look at how we treat each other? I haven’t seen ALL the media so I don’t know for sure, but aside from a few “Bad Bloods” I don’t see much interspecies conflict by comparison.
It was a missed opportunity to make the Assassin from The Predator a female. Personally I liked the sexual dimorphism of the females being larger than the males. Which they were in a novel I haven’t gotten to yet (it’s apparently bad).
Yeah they definitely scale down their weapons. Someone on another post replied that its in their code of honor not to use military grade weapons in their hunts. They want us to have a chance.

Male or female dominant societies don’t really do very well though. Historically actually lots of societies were less male dominant than were believed. It’s true male dominance has been a fucked up norm for lots of people and societies, but some of the coolest and most successful had room for women warriors so it made sense to have women hunters IF they were going to have different sexes/genders in their species.
Definitely. But from the films alone it seemed very primitive. Which is exactly what any society dominated by one sex really is.

The Dutch tapes talk about bigger females too. . . That they’re also more serious, and “don’t fuck around like the males did” or some such stuff, but this is Dutch we’re talking about. . . He’s kinda a meathead. He doesn’t even believe in “taking prisoners”, which if you ask ME is a great way to escalate an intergalactic tension?
But IF Females are stronger, bigger, and have some sort of aloof higher status in Yautja society. . . I guess that’d be fine, but I don’t really dig it so much. The dimorphism isn’t my problem. I just think that it’d be more interesting if there were bigger females, and small ones that were as small as the smallest males, and males as big as the biggest females, and with all sorts of mixes like trans guy Yautja’s and trans girl Yautjas. Some that are okay with the girldick and tits combo, and some that go for GRS. Some trans guy Yautja probably get a working dick, and some probably keep their vag. They probably have WAY superior meds/tech, and with psychics and stuff they’d be able to figure out who’s gay, bi, trans or whatever, and it just doesn’t seem useful to cull those out of your species. That’s beyond fucked lmao? They’d be viable and valuable members of their society too.
