Thought Experiment: Patch Notes 2.39 Remaster

I agree with this. IRL a shotgun at 10 meters is still highly effective, though in most video games it is not.

I don’t expect IRL damage/range accuracy on a video game, but 5 meters is extremely close for such a drop off

Still… correct change is better range and not “more damage” … I’m tired of damage buffs on this game as a form of “re-balance”

I would add fix wolf’s model by adding netting

Add white eye to wolf’s model

Add accurate movie roars to Mr. Black, falconer, wolf.

Add “phantom” specialization to predator: increase crouching speed and be completely invisible when crouch walking

Added wolf plasma caster variant

Jeez, oh yeah. Patch of my dream.

Predator

  • Fixed Wolf model: body netting, white eyes, caster size.
  • Fixed Falkoner and Mr.Black models: body and jaw.

Sound

  • New mask sounds for view switching and laser sight.
  • New sounds of roars.
  • New sounds for plasma caster charging, firing and projectile explosion.

Lmfao no point in talking about it, but ft has the complete advantage.

Add in new voice taunts. Maybe a create-a-taunt that reads your voice off the mic. That could get nasty…but also funny as hell.

Also Arnold’s yell for Dutch 87. Spam that shit all match long.

Agreed, the Launch team is very obviously not involved with the game anymore and we’ve been left with the C Team and the unpaid interns…

I think with the shotguns, that would be okay.

I don’t know about completely disabling spotting on night maps, but what about a spot range limit universallly? I think it’s kinda dumb that fireteam can spot a pred from like 400 Meters away (no exaggeration), so I feel like an overall maximum range to spotting would be better than just nerfing it on night maps

there shouldn’t be voice taunts and there should be just a voice modulator that makes your voice sound distorted like in the movies while in the game

I love the specialization idea

I think shotguns should have more range but should also have a utility function, give them like 2 or 3x damage on discs, something that might make them worth bringing for utility even for good players when they aren’t the very best weapon for damaging pred.

Next to the Prototype & NRV-E, the Shotguns do the most damage to the AI & mission objectives so they already have a utility. They just need better range like Jelou said.

It’s hilarious though that even with the drop off range, the damage of the Spaz is insanely strong against AI from good distance.

Yeah I’ve one shot AI from like 40 metres with that thing, its ludicrous.

But if you shoot a pred with it, the damage is equivalent to that of throwing sunflower seeds at them. I know they’re tough but their skin can’t be tougher than juggernauts wearing armor plating.

Its weird to me as well because at one point in the game’s life, Shotguns WERE specifically programmed to do more damage than ballistics to the Predator. Which I’d honestly be fine with. Their DPS is overall slow but if they were an effective “Get the fuck off me” tool like in Predator 2, it’d be fine.

It stacks damage when you miss, so you can one shot ppl even with the light attack.

So if you started the match and swung your axe around a dozen times, would you 1 tap whichever FT member you hit first?

As far as I know, as long as you keep swinging and land a shot after missing, the damage will stack.
I got one tapped with a light attack after the Pred missed 2-3 hits and I was full hp assault with OWLF perk.
