I don’t think anyone looked at illfonic’s previous work (lol) and had big expectations going in.
It’s a matter of them being less trash via releasing monthly updates & this game suprisingly having potential. The issue arises when people set imaginary release dates, rumors, and unrealistic expectations in their head as with any early access title & then are disappointed and angry that their christmas wish didn’t come true and instead they got exactly what was stated instead of a mystery surprise.
If you aren’t satisfied with the lack of a new game mode then wait for them to actually release a new game mode instead of putting a thousand hours into the game and being upset about waiting.

It’s new weapons and alpha pred. Asking for a gamemode 3 months post launch is unreasonable yes, especially if devs aren’t confident to confirm a date yet.
Alpha predator isn’t new content. Neither is the alpha sickle or katana. They’ve been in the game a while now so I wouldn’t pass that off as new content. It’s just that more people get to play them now. The only new content we got was shaders.
1 mode in 3 months? That’s not impossible. Neither is 1 map. It doesn’t take half a year to make this stuff unless the Dev team is incompetent, which this one is I’m afraid.

Not new content for 10% of the population or less that bought the figure for early access. Didn’t run into a single alpha pred before drop did you?
It’s totally possible to release a mode in 3 months if you half ass it and just reuse and reskin the same old objective missions and then call it king of hill but this is an asyim. Missions are voiced, the gamemodes and maps have to be optimized, and everything struggles to run even on these smaller maps we have now. Maps can take absolutely forever if they are making new assets instead of making us run around the same 3 tree types. And the way predkour works ABSOLUTELY fucks up and slows down map design but if they remove it you end up with the shitty swamp area in backwater 2 trees with 0 cover for the pred and no one fucking wants another backwater as much as they think they do. If there’s no rush to release things then don’t rush.

Even if alpha predator was new. It is the exact same as the hunter just a new look. All these updates so far are just skins. How can you defend that?
Even if it took them a year to add a mode it will still be a buggy mess because it’s illfonic, they’ve proven they can’t make anything without breaking something else.
Other Devs release more content at faster rates that are more functional than this game. In fact no man’s sky just released an update. It has its bugs but it actually introduces a new gameplay feature. And I’m sure hello games are a smaller team than illfonic. Not only that but they released an update prior to that like 2 months ago. Sure it’s a different type of game but the principal stands.

Battlefront 2 may have redeemed itself but nobody excuses it’s shitty launch. And if you think people are praising fallout 76 then I’ve got some news for you…

Because the skins come with WEAPONS as much as people like to pretend they’re just dropping cosmetic DLC for the sake of argument.
Of course the maps will still be a buggy mess but the more time they’re given the better. Saying JUST RELEASE IT NOW AND FIX IT LATER worsens the situation.
No man’s sky was 2 years of silence after launch lol they JUST started getting their shit together involving promised features and the game launched in 2016.

because as usual EA have played on nostalkgia of the old game andit worked well at first. but i will be honest with you. its an half finished game who instead of bring us old classic theme song, maps, skin, where to busy selling us Disney trash and Unbalanced patch ;) still love my shield regenerating faster by 10% compare to my oponent absolutly balance X’)
It’s not even that people want it now. They want communication. They want to be told what is going on not to be left in the dark. If all they’re going to release is skins then that’s not good enough. The weapons I’ll admit are the only good thing they’re adding. But that doesn’t change the fact that most of the updates consist of skins. Forcing in countless skins doesn’t make an update good if that’s all it has to offer.
Just because they’ll fix this game later, doesn’t make the state it’s in right now anymore acceptable.
As for the silence from hello games they actually proved themselves with their work by releasing substantial updates. Shitty cosmetics is not enough to show people that the Devs actually care about this game.
But how do you want to reply to kids who keep shiting everyday on you’r game, asking for a refund only 2 WEEKS after the game was released?! do you really want to go everyday on pure critism from brats who don’t get how hards it is to develope a game?
“instead of bring us classic theme song” wtf does that even mean? How does that make the game bad? No maps? What? Have you even played the game? They added Crait, geonosis, Felicia, capital ships and countless more. Your complaints about that game are ridiculous, make no sense and are completely invalid.
