TRASH TALKING

Its doing the opposite. Most actual Fans have been giving up. I almost quit the game entirely, hell I fucking SHOULD HAVE long ago. I dropped it for nearly 3 straight weeks after Elden Ring came out, and then i got Stranger of Paradise & LEGO Star Wars to indulge myself in. But something about it is addictive and makes me boot this piece of shit up every other day or so to have a couple matches.

For sure there were interesting possibilities. I guess if you start adding more element to a game that already plagued, you’re just asking for more glitches, bugs, etc. They decided to keep it simple.

The problem with night mode is essentially the lack of need for FT to use night vision. The moon is so bright you don’t need it most of the time. And pred’s blood, being bright green, stands out like a glow stick on a Halloween night.

If the night mode becomes fully dark, no moon whatsoever, so that FT has to actively use night vision, it becomes stealthier for Pred, as the green blood will blend with the FT night vision making it much harder to see.

I honestly think you’re being too soft on them, and I say this as someone who spent a good time actively defending them like a tool. Maybe because in part I felt sympathy due to being a former Dev myself. But honestly the more I see of this, the more examples I see of “If anyone I knew did this kind of shit, they’d have been fired.”

I don’t think this is true. A random that gets one shot will not appreciate this vs being able to out run/survive against a much stronger opponent or working with your team to bring it down together. I mean the guy that gets the one shot will probably feel giddy about it but turn it around and you’ll see their fingers on fire typing about how it’s bullshit.

Yeah, no other game like for better or worse. I feels like games aren’t meant to last these days. After 3 weeks of one game, there’s something else to move on to. It’s hard for a game like this to compete and hold players.

And to this game’s credit. This is the only game other than Halo to keep me in the Multiplayer scene for more than a year. Difference is. Halo 1-3 and Reach are some of the best games ever made and redefined the FPS genre. This is a flaming turd that I only stick around for BECAUSE we haven’t had a console game with the Predator playable since 2010, and haven’t had a solo outing since 2006.

If they get to play how they want, it’s quick reward quick punishment. It’s all about committing to playing as a team. If that was reinforced from the start, we wouldn’t have this mess.

Yeah, you can find competive matches, you can troll, you can find funny situations. Overall it’s entertaing, but at core still a mess.

all in all, this game is fun. I have to give it that. other games just become boring fast either because the leveling up is absurd and OP weapons are reserved for high tier levels (looking at you Battlefront) or they are too popular/highly competitive that casual players are just gonna have a frustrating experience

other games just have too many complicated mechanics.

I enjoy the simplicity of this game

It sucks because I see the potential. I certainly see the passion from the Art Team & those who write the Lore for this game. This game SAVED the fucking Lore, and for that we should be grateful. They really went out of their way to just save the Lore after the last movie & its bullshit and you can tell with Dutch & such they genuinely cared to bring back characters we love and try to expand upon/finish their stories. I will never hate the writers on this game, they have done more for the Predator Universe’s story then the last two movies have.

But jesus fucking christ, does the game just stumble & fall on its face every update.

I wonder if miss box manager will have fun reading and summarizing this. Summary: there are positives about the game 😁 this means we are in the right track

For sure. I definitely enjoyed the lore. Yesterday i watched Preds and i was talking to a friend about the end of the movie and kinda continued the the Izzy and Royce story from phg. Really hope we get Royce and his tapes soon.

I played battlefront back when it released, enjoyed the story, enjoyed the multiplayer, but it was console. then came back to this battlefront bullshit where I can hit someone 10 times and not kill them but they hit me once and I’m gone, but I gotta kill a million dudes to get access to that weapon… fuck that. played a lil bit and then it was, fuck this

Yeah. It feels like that game moved on quickly. You don’t have to worry about that here as we hardly get any new weapons/gadgets and earning them is not that much work. People are sitting on million of VT with nothing to buy. Even in game inflation would not bother them 😂

I’m always taking notes on ways we can improve! ☺️

If only people had suggested that back when the game was released.

Right Illfonic? 😑

In all seriousness, a Ft tutorial would be huge. And one that really teaches them how to play effectively. I’m sure people in the community would happily help put the content together. Myself included.

I don’t think a tutorial would help. But maybe a single player, that forces newbies FT to actually do something without a predator player, so they get the hang of it, and until let’s say, you have successfully won at least one match like that, only then you are allowed to enter the jungle with a predator. It should also be done without the help of bots. If a FT cannot handle a mission against AI on it’s own, he’s only going to get carried by other players and never learn a thing

They’d have to make a good Predator tutorial first before they even attempt FT. Pred’s Tutorial teaches you NOTHING of real value. All it shows the player is how to

Slide under things, which you can count on one hand how much that factors into the level design.
Do stealth kills, which get you killed in a real fight.
Climb trees, which make you an easier target & limit movement.
And how to clear out AI camps, which is the LAST thing a Predator should do because it is more beneficial to set off camp alarms and force more AI to spawn to at bare minimum slow the FT down a bit more.

It doesn’t teach you about FT’s spotting mechanic. It doesn’t teach you to counter Reinforcements. Doesn’t teach you how to move around maps fast to catch FT before they can push the mission or to avoid getting caught whilst being chased. Hell it doesn’t even teach you about Sound Isolation.
