I really wanted to help out and play in the Tourney but time got the better of me and I don’t think I ever really found a team, don’t remember tho.

It’s understandable. Life happens. And especially for FT where you need all 4 people to be there at the same time. I hope we get more tourneys in the future cause the matches were great.

Why was the video threat closed? Noone was called out really. Well, @PsychoBaBas in initial post, but after that it was just generalizations.

I’ve always seen this game balance fucked up because of the insane amount of damage compared to health pool

Much more eye opening was when Chopra corrected me on my damage calculation methods to see just how fucked up dante/support combo is. Been playing pred lately and I can feel the pain of that combo and how fucking stupid it is. It literally gives people with potato skills a winning chance against someone much better than them, which I think is ridiculously unfair.

Glad to see you’re getting an idea of what the other side has had to put up with for a year now. Support & Dantes are the worst combo ever. And sometimes you load into a match and have to fucking deal with that shit with a Disciplined build and no Down Range… fun times…

I’ve been saying for months game is “balanced”, terribly balanced, but balanced, because the damage is very high on both. There are just some problems related to class stacking, that really breaks the shit.

Nevertheless… damage is stupid most of the time, and missions are too easy/quick

Its not even really class stacking. The biggest problems in the game ATM are

Dante
Support
Recon with Tracker
And the SAWZ-50 & PDL.

If all of those got nerfed, it’d be a big leap in the right direction. Like for example, Support’s 20% buff to the whole team really screws with the Pred’s damage considering their best damage builds of Analytic/Stalker with Down Range go from a 25% buff to a 5% buff if a Support is thrown in the equation.

Support 20% damage reduction is alright, I think, as long as there are no more support/dante/dutches. For the rest of the classes is ok. Field Medic for me is alright, as long as there’s only one and none of the previously mentioned classes.

There’s a few things that are really bad, and others that aren’t that bad. Most problems come because of the stackable array of things you can put, and that goes for both.

I just wish pred damage reduction perks actually worked, and I’d swap any damage buff perks for faster movement, which sadly is not present on this game. If preds can’t be stealthy., well make it faster then

Preds still don’t have their own versions of Thick Skin or Double Time, this is true.

20% is too high, I would decrease the dmg reduction passives from Supports, Scout and Dante all to 10% at least.

I would remove them completely, but if they are gonna stay, I would choose the support one over the others

And I talk after playing pred in pubs and privates against a very varied skill set of players.

Against good players, even removing specializations, not allowing supports and/or dantes, is really hard to beat them if you ain’t good enough. In pubs, you can give FT 1000% health and potatoes will still drop like flies.

Its really hard to balance where no one feels OP

That is the way that Illfonic chose to balance in a nutshell, ft always had a unfair chance that allows them to win even vs players that are better. That’s what people that only play as fireteam don’t get until they actually start playing as Predator. Most premades dont really need to be as good as Predator to have a chance of winning.

You don’t need 4 ft players as good as the Predator player to win. If I were to play as Predator vs 4 fts like me I would lose 90% of the time. In most multiplayer games the winner is the best player or team, not on this one. You can lose and still be best player on the match.

Have you ever tested a Dante with thickskin and owlf running next to a support and you as pred behind him and counted how many arrows it takes to kill him. I’m curious to how many arrows it turns out to be in practice.
310hp sounds absurd.

I tested something like that with Thunder and Max once, with charged plasma shots on the Elder with stalker+downrange vs a Dante with that, it took close to half his hp.

I only ask because that would mean you wouldn’t be able to two tap a Dante with a disc if he was next to a support which I know is not the case

You can’t unless you got a 25% dmg boost on the disk. Downrange+spec.

Base dmg is 125, with the boost around 156 with 2 hits = 312.

Which is consistent with the 41% damage reduction

So in theory:

Bow base damage 57
Dante takes only 34 dmg (while sprinting near a support)

at 185 HP that means it would take about 6 uncharged bow body shots

if you take the base damage, 57*6=342, so yeah…

That’s because the disk damage is high enough to negate the use of the syrette if you tap them twice. I’m not sure, but I also think you stop sprinting after getting hit
