Nah you can keep sprinting after getting hit by the Disk, but that can be to your detriment because this can result in you running INTO the Disk after it passes through you and gets in front.

Syrette wouldn’t matter if in theory that hp is correct.
Place two supports 19m apart and have a Dante run through them and then have a pred hit Dante and when he runs again hit him again

Disc max damage is 150hp so let’s see if Dante has 10 hp after?
I don’t believe the Dante will survive which will prove that he has less than 300 and the theory is false. I think your original guesstimate was correct not the new one that Chopra told you

Disk dmg should be able to reach 156 with a 25% dmg boost.

disk damage is 125
stalker is 15%
Downrange is 10%

125 * 1.15 = 143.75
143.75 * 1.10 = 158

Remember everything stacks on this game. So downrange + stalker is not 25%, but 26.5%

So two disk hits with that build should do 316, enough to double tap a dante even if runing thick skin and sprinting near a support

Take off downrange and try it. Maybe when I get home I can test it with friends I’ll do the leg work. I’ll let y’all know in about 3 hours

with stalker only, disk should do 143~144HP damage
Dante should only take only 83-85 per hit if sprinting near a support

If you can, test with both cleo and elder, as illfonic is infamous for doing shadow buffs/nerfs

sadly, damage reduction modifiers do not work for every weapon.

I don’t think pred damage is too high without analytic/stalker considering the damage reduction of support. Fervent only works with 1 FT, so that’s okay. Ghost only works with melee, and like sam said, if you can’t 1 hit down with melee, there’s no point in doing melee because FT damage is too high/fast for close range attack.

Fuck, given how broken dante is, probably with heavy hitter+bane+fanatic dante is likely going to out melee a pred if using only wristblades, which is absurd

Dante probably would.

Perhaps he was meant for pubs only. A character that is tanky and damaging and doesn’t really need support against an average pub pred. Then pred was given an axe to even things up a bit. Pub balance.

Izzy could probably out-melee a Pred with a Support around. Consider this, with Sniper Spec & Heavy Hitter, Izzy’s melee damage with a Heavy attack, which is also better for Parrying due to more active frames, is around 316 per hit. That’s more than a Grenade at point blank. Add on 10% extra damage if its against a Zerk for example. Going by your sheet, Izzy’s best HP potential is around 207 IIRC. Wristblades do 30 damage per hit by default, 33 if you play say Cleo or Zerk (But Zerk also takes 10% more melee damage so trade off) and some go lower than 30 like Scout & Elder.

Let’s use say Cleo Vs Izzy for this. The “best” Pred versus the “worst” FT.

316 damage per hit versus 33 damage per hit.
200+ HP versus 1450 HP.

It takes 5 heavy attacks from Izzy to 2nd wind Cleo in this scenario. It takes 6 wristblade hits, which are parryable of course, from Cleo to down Izzy. Izzy, the worst FT class in the game can outdamage the statistically best Predator in the game WITH A KNIFE.

Remember when everyone was pushing this in hopes it would be the one thing to help pred in this game and they managed to do the opposite and somehow make night FT sided.

If they haven’t made it clear by now, nerf pred buff FT

The problem is that FT has only one melee weapon so it has to be strong as not to be useless. If there were a few melee weapons, knife wouldn’t need to be this strong perhaps. Perhaps other melee weapons could take place of a gear item.

The knife has ALWAYS been strong, that’s the problem. They even actually nerfed Parrying at one point, imagine that a FT nerf, and its STILL the 2nd biggest thing that completely invalidates melee as an option.

Granted, bit i guess you don’t have to challenge with wrist blades. That’s optional. Plus, stamina won’t allow FT to keep parrying. Melee won’t work when it’s 3v1 or 4v1, but you can probably go ham when it’s 2v1 or 1v1.

Also just as a little experiment, I decided to run some numbers to see what would happen if you put an Izzy WITHOUT Thick Skin or OWLF Trained up against a Cleo using Wristblades in a 1 on 1 scenario, and instead had Izzy focus entirely upon Knife buffs such as HH, Sniper & Bane.

The numbers come out in Izzy’s favour with a Support around and end in a DRAW without a Support. If anybody else is better at math, feel free to correct any mistakes here, gladly be proved wrong, but as is from all the calculations I’ve ran this appears to be the state of FT vs Pred melee damage match ups.

Izzy Base Light – 141
Izzy Base Heavy – 215

Heavy Hitter - +15%
HH Light - 162
HH Heavy – 247

Sniper - +15%
Sniper + HH Light - 186
Sniper + HH Heavy - 284

Yautja’s Bane - +10%
YB + Sniper + HH Light - 214
YB + Sniper + HH Heavy – 327

Here’s Cleo’s 1450 health being subjected to those numbers.

1450 divided by 214 = 6.7 (Round up to 7)
1450 divided by 327 = 4.4 (Round down to 4)

And Izzy’s 135 to Cleo’s wristblades.

135 divided by 34 = 3.9 (Round up to 4)

Now here’s Izzy with a Support around.

20% of 135 = 27
135 + 27 = 162
162 divided by 34 = 4.7 (Round up to 5)

This is a problem, this is why less & less people are doing honorable duals to end matches off and just going for kills IF the FT even uses their knife to begin with, the 1011 has a DPS of around 800 per second at optimal fire rate…

It’s not fair, but it seems situational. What are last man standing buffs tho? Is it still in the game cause i havent seem it mentioned in months.

We should do last man standing tourney. Yeah, it’s lame, but matches would be short and we would see who really has advantage.

Yeah LMS still exists and provides IIRC a 10% buff to movement speed, defence & reload speed.

My take on LMS & FT in general is you need to nerf FT’s damage output & ability to stack health ups across the board but change Last Man Standing so that its such a huge buff it basically turns FT into what they are now. Like the way FT can easily 1v1 most Preds now is how LMS should be and FT outside of LMS should be actively forced onto the backfoot if they drop below into a 3v1 or 2v1. 4v1 ideally should be tougher for the Pred, but not impossible to approach.

In fairness, if you are in 1v1 Witt full health Cleo and Izzy lms and lose you have other things to worry about in this game.

Fortunately nobody plays Izzy, because people think she sucks. IMHO, absurd knife damage aside: Izzy is rather fair & she’s the only FT class I actually play anymore whenever I’m forced to take part in the gameplay of the faction for in-game monetary purposes because it feels like cheating to play anyone else in the current state of the game.

Izzy is designed so differently under the hood from the rest of FT, epecially Dante, I am fucking convinced someone else entirely was responsible for coding her stat distribution. Someone with common sense & an idea of game design that extends out of the realm of Counterstrike…
