I think a good FT can just split farm the map/objectives once they know the LOS paths across the map. I think the best builds are support with thick skin or assault with OWLF and thick skin. I think the best guns are the Sawz, the Rp 103 and the 2xl, there is no reason to use anything else ever other then roleplaying. I also think scout with double time can parry kite predators but its not broken coz 125hp is butthole.

I do feel like this is a 100% an exploit and not working as intended, I did actually bring this to Rykes attention midstream the other day, yes you can argue that it is an animation cancelling, with that argument I would like to see what animation cancelling is as broken as that for the FT? yes ok, you can switch weapons before the reload animation has finished but ok, you shave a minuscule amount of time off said animation, the leap slam root is a good couple of seconds long how is that a fair trade?

It doesnt help that with the buff to the slam in 1.06 the FT now gets blinded and slowed, adding to this the now “iceskating” predator it is more difficult for the FT to gain distance on the pred before they start swinging (yes I know they cant attack straight out of the animation cancel but being on top of a fireteam member ready to attack is still unfair).

This also goes for the Pred trying to flee from the FT, lets say that the pred leap slammed and managed to hit all 4 FT members, thats around 400 damage, that is enough to down 2 of the heaviest FT members (supports) when even running owlf training and thick skinned (not possible because of perk points) understandably that damage is shared between the FT but do you see where I am going with this? The FT has effectively been brought to a pool of 2 man hitpoints, this is a devastating attack if used right and the fact that it can now be countered out of an “animation cancel” is beyond ridiculous.

Everyone that is defending this exploit really need to take a look at this and understand why the FT does not like to see this abused. If you are angry that the pred feels underpowered at the moment I understand your frustration, I would like to see the pred buffed in some ways to make them more “scary” I am sure someone has used before but this is just so broken that yes it makes you feel unstoppable but is it really fun to exploit something that so clearly gives you a much bigger advantage over the other side?

This kind of slam at exfil is a pain in the balls lol hopefully they find what’s bugging this games code so the community doesnt disappear first, it could literally be a trickle effect from one bad line causing a bunch more to automatically fail becuase the first command line has something to do with the line that’s bugged. People who use this stuff to win are pitiful and this I generalized not specifically singling out the person I’m responding to

Unfortunately some people’s idea of fun is only when they win regardless of how they achieve it. That’s why we have hackers and people who abuse exploits in games at all.

This is hilarious. The comment doesn’t even single anyone out but the exploit brigade catches wind and flags it as spam. Please, do it again so Illfonic staff needs to review it and they can log your accounts for abusing the flag system.

I fully admit I use it all the time but do try and gauge a teams skill and if they’re not elite then I’ll be more aware of using it.

If it’s a high skill level team then they can get fucked. The balance right now is so far in favour of FT (on PC) at high level play that the predator needs any little bit of help like this he can get to still end up getting shot to shit without any kills.

Also sometimes when things like this happen it can be a good thing that can add to the game. Maybe the devs could make it so that lower skill players can’t use it and higher skill can. Easiest way there is to have a pub and ranked queue. Pub you can’t, ranked you can. One way to give the predator a small buff that will not affect randoms.

Oh and I don’t know but if any high level FT are complaining about it then they might want to disable their macros that let them get out of nets etc ridiculously quick. You play with Unwary sometimes right? He uses one. That is such a dick move for a player who is already very good at the game.

It is an exploit but people are defending it because of T&C’s mostly streamers, if they acknowledge its an exploit and twitch or any other streaming platform catches wind then they can get banned for it. I will say that at first it needs to come from the developer that it is recognised as an exploit then comes the ban hammer but at the moment Illfonic will not want to get anyone banned that is streaming their game, they want/need the publicity so I get the feeling it will be a stealth patch that will remove the exploit from the game without ever fully acknowledging it to protect streamers which is quite hurtful since they are actively showing people this exploit…

I saw the video of Unwary very quickly getting out of that net which was a little suspect but I will say that going up against Unwary/Shield’s team are the best matches I’ve had to date. It was challenging but it did not feel like they were exploiting or cheating at all. I’ve had some matches since against people who would put them to shame but only because they were clearly exploiting or using macros as I could see it once spectating them.
