Im in a similar position and i don’t pretend that West is a saint here. More or less, these two are different side of same coin, but USA approach is a little more diplomatic at times and has better economy.
Still I’m wandering what Putin is thinking considering Russia’s standing in the world right now. It’s not just about the war at this point. I feel like his regime will have to fall if Russia is to be a respected world player again, but he’s going for broke instead. I think he will lose the war and be in a terrible position in the world politically so he’s trying to salvage something out of this still, but will likely get nothing and is only digging a bigger hole for Russia’s people. At some point his pride has to make way for greater good for Russia.
