What do we respect or detest?

Best perspective to put this in I guess would be a Dark Souls PvP context… in that I mean, theres certain unspoken rules and etiquette you just kinda learn from experience with other players.

For example, players adapted to bow or at least gesture before a duel since Demons Souls and its been a tradition for over a decade now. Theres also what’s more or less a hierarchy of weaponry and equipment that will designate you anywhere from a dirty fucking scrub to dexfag (which to the uninitiated isn’t necessarily a bad thing cuz a katana will fuck you up in two hits if you ain’t froggy).

So, I’m wondering if we can set a general consensus of what’s respectable or not from either side. Any input is appreciated to encourage discussion.

Is it a faux pas for a predator to not allow ft to be reinforced? Or is it a sign of supremacy that they couldn’t withstand his mighty blows?

This is war

The only thing I would frown upon is hiding under the map and using other such exploits

The game is so far from balance that literally anything is fair play. Just cause like. How much are we gonna say not to use? Basically half the game

I respect people having their own opinions.

I detest people who have a different opinion from me .

Nah , I dont respect or detest much when it comes to gaming or this game . It pretty much is what it is ? I dont see this game as a game worth getting upset over gameplay wise, some games there are clear skill levels but with hunting grounds I dont think it holds as much skill as people like to think .

Fireteam are hitscan weapons and pred is just about fighting the urge to rush at certain points.

Your point about reinforcements? I dont think its unreasonable to stop it , the game basically rewards fireteam for dying and coming back with their full loadout , pred can get wiped out so easily and it just stacks the cards further against them .

As a FT:
Pred’s who only knows is to spam the plasma caster, i don’t have any respect for that style of gameplay.

As a Pred:
FT last man standing running Scout/Recon with double-time just running away from the Pred, w/o trying anything else (reinforcements, mission…)

I don’t respect pred players. This post made by Human Supremacy Gang.

I say anything goes, the only things I would detest is somebody getting on the mic and bitching because so and so killed you with something you didn’t like or you hiding underneath the map.

If the predator lets you reinforce and still gets the elimination, supremacy.

It’s glitched, but that’s more on illfonic than the predators that use it. Do what you can to win, because illfonic is going to take at least a month or 2 to change it anyway.

Don’t brag about how good you are at beating randoms, on either side of the game.

Shit is like being the best at spelling your name

The katana is glitched? Double damage like the wrist blades?

Well no one ever spells my name right on the first try!

Not exactly. If you alternate between heavy and light attacks, the damage of the previous attack gets applied to the base damage of the next attack. If you land a heavy/light/heavy, it’s impossible to survive. A heavy/light can wipe a Scout or Recon, and you can even use it with ghost or assassin.

That’s fight clubs not true invasions where you’re laughing watching the host get swarmed by NPCs.

The only worthwhile gesture in DS is pointing down after spamming two handed falchion with a buff on it.

If the game had a mechanic that would automatically give back to the predator all of his gear and ammo each time the FT reinforced (the pred player could call a drone to come to him from their ship, same way FT get those secondary objective capsules) then letting the FT to be reinforced would be more manageable.

Personaly I always let FT reinforce if taking them down was too easy.
They get a 2nd chance and I get more practice.

But if the FT is challenging, I dont care if my gear & ammo get replenished,
I am blocking that reinforcement if possible and go for the win!

I mean why let them reinforce unless you want to practice?

Part of the game is blocking them from doing so, otherwise the game would automatically respawn them a 2nd time whether the predator player liked it or not.

Pred could use a specialization similar to katana glitch. Some kind of pure melee multiplier

I do something similar. If I kill the entire FT too easily. I leave one alive to tell the tale, and reinforce. If I kill the entire FT and no reinforce, your were a threat and could not be allowed to live. Only exceptions, accidental team kills, AI kills or not realizing there are only 2 or 3 FT members. I feel really bad when I murder a crew and then realize there are only 3.

That’s when I start trying to do the internation “peace, bro” dance of crouching in plain sight. 3 man FT or less I’ll just let you win. I might kill you down to one and make a reinforce but after reinforce or whatever I will be your 4th FT member. Just know if you were less than full team and HW1517 killed everyone it was accident usually.

I heard someone else have a great idea so I should post it here. Predator should get to go back to ship at some point to reload ammo or even switch to another premade that is the same class. Maybe the FT is potatos and I want to try for that elite netgun assassination or whatever. I usually feel that I regret my pred choice about 6 mins into the match. Maybe I’m too strong. Maybe I need a different strat for a difficult FT. Anyway, just a thought.
