What would help the game.

Look I’m not sure what ilfonic uses that makes this game run so poorly or have so many issues.

I planned on not making anymore post in regards to balance or anything but I still see quite a few people talk about stuff on here.
It’s made me come up with a few ideas, some bot really new or original, but here it goes.

This is stuff I know would help the game out.
Mind you this is just general ideas, since illfonic doesnt really listen to us, I don’t see a point in going Into a lot of detail.

  1. Bigger, randomly generated maps.
    This way no side can truly ever plan anything out map wise.
    This would help pred be able to to get more angles on the ft during missions.

  2. Longer, more complex missions.
    Also the ability to fail the missions.
    This was a different idea I had where depending on how well or bad you did an objective, it would change up the other parts of a mission.
    This would also matches longer.

  3. Make the ft easier to kill.
    However add more players.
    This way the predator can be made to feel as powerful as they’re supposed to be.

  4. Make it so ft and pred equipment can be destroyed.
    This would immensely help out the pred vs ft, if he can chip away at the ft guns and destroy them. Killing off the ft slowly but surely.
    This would also make it so the weapon creates around the map served a purpose, and, you can also add in the ability to pick up npc weapons.

As for pred gear being destroyed, make it way harder then it is to now.
I would say to compensate, let pred bring in way more gear so that if one or two weapons are destroyed they arent helpless.
Or a way to repair.
Or fk it, let em use ft guns.

  1. Add death traps for pred, and for ft.
    In the spirit of the first movie I guess.
    Just dont make it extremely easy to see, and do not in a perk that shows them.
    It defeats the purpose.

There was a few more things I think, but that’s all I can remember at the moment.

Tho before any changes can help, the game has to get to a point where bugs are not so constant.

Or, they get fixed faster.

I no longer have any hope for this game.
But I know these things plus other things I and other people have mentioned in the past would work.

So to those of you still love this game,
Try to figure out a way to get ilfonic to listen.

I’ll probably get crucified for this, but get rid of voice chat. That is probably the single biggest weapon for FT. But obviously the downside of it is that it’ll kind of kill the social aspect.

I like the thinking in your second point, but I also feel like it would only punish new players even more and leave the experienced players unaffected. Maybe some kind of occasional random events that happen instead?

I cant agree with getting rid of voice chat, a team should be allowed to communicate, but I understand where you’re coming from.

I think it would be unfair.

As for my second point, theres another part o forgot to add.
Get rid of target isolation.

It’s not bad for what we have now, but for what I have pictured In my mind for the that, you really wouldn’t need target isolation.

This would also help in rewarding players who want to play stealthily as ft.

Since the predator would be a bigger threat, it would pay off to do missions quietly.
Whatever objectives you could anyway.

I would like random events too tho, btw.

No. This adds aa element of luck which… I hate. Plus this makes tournaments harder to run (before anyone says this is a casaul games, just wait.) Besides this makes balance random. Does this randomly generated map have amazing tiles back to back. Or does have it have bad tiles back to back. DBD has this issue and its not good.

No. I don’t like the idea of having to pick up a weapon thats randomly given and has almost no attachments. Imagine your running a sniper build and poof your pointless. No decent sniper in sight. Oh look an actaul sniper AND it has the wrong scope so now its useless. I don’t sew this being good for casaul or comp play.

That won’t be possible. New content allways create bugs. Even patching bugs makes bugs.

Also people will just use parties. And on top of that its unfair to ask the FT to not communicate. The real problem is the DPS. Not communication. Even if it is a big problem.

People love to mention skill in this game.
Adapting to new situations would actually show who’s got skill or not.

Since you cant fight the ft head on, and so many ppl dont want that, this would help the pred have a way to chip the ft down efficiently.
Tho I can live without this,
I feel this would be good for those who like to focus on stealth kills.

As for the bugs, theres only a few games that have these many issues.
It wouldnt be such a problem if they got fixed at a faster rate.

This would be possible if they let players test stuff out for like 2 or 3 weeks beforehand.

As for my RNG suggestion, this would also help with things not feeling so repetetive.
The problem with pvp in so many games, is that people want to learn something, and always have that.

Which is fine for a lil bit, but eventually gets boring.

This I just feel would add a test of skill.
The way I see it is, for the most part, if were talking about going up against a group like stargazer, the ft wouldnt have all the info on the lay out or exact numbers, ect.

Tho I’m not sure the technology exist for it to be as advanced as I’d like it to be,
I feel a randomly generated map would be entirely possible.

If not, then at least bigger maps.
But longer missions for sure, otherwise a big map is pointless.

Do to the advanced nature of the missions ypu’d have to use randomly generated tiles which can be learned and all thats left is RNG. But even ignoring that for perfect generation, whats the skill? Becuase there rly isn’ much in the use of the enviorment that isn’t copy and paste into anything new. Not to mention possible seeds that result in little to no cover. Or an overbundance of cover. Theres either too many limits to keep it completly rng or its rng.

Map generation isn’t the only way to fix that though. Look at DBD. It inly has a set amount of tiles and people love it for its build diversity. And thats ignoring siege. And the ops in that game have even less to work with then DBD killers. But because each op brings a dynamic element to the field it makes each match interesting. PHG just needs more impactful playstyles.

I am for disabling voice chat, for example, for me who does not speak English, it is useless, it only interferes and has to be turned off.

But text chat before the start of the fight would be better.

Most often, a more convenient alternative is used.

Rng would be the easiest way to help the game.
You’re not entirely wrong with what you’ve said, bit if its and good of a system as I imagine, it would definitely be better in the long run.

Im not imaging a simplistic rng btw.

As for build diversity, yeah, but in order to have that, we need balance.
Everything has to viable and good.

Problem is, status effects are practically non existent by how weak they are.

Then theres melee.
The ft has way too high of dps, so how can melee be good?

That goes with what I’ve been saying since 2.0 came out. We need a rework.

But that’s not fair to those who speak the same language.
You can always mute people if you dont want to hear others.

But teams should be allowed to communicate.

Tho I think everyone who plays in a team should be a party or discord to be honest.

I mean that inside the game talker is a relic of the past, there is Skype, telegram, sing and others. I turn it off myself, even playing with those who speak my language. Very annoying and distracting.

I play with random teams, because Unfortunately none of my friends need this game …

Your ideas for the game are reasonable and interesting.

Ya plus I imagine it would be hard to convince people to play this lol.

Currently in game voicechat Only Helps the pred since it gives away the plan or position of the FT. So its better to just not use it. They should remove the proximity part of it and make it so pred cant hear it. Or maybe make it Only proximity for the pred but FT can hear it wherever they are. If they remove it, even more People Will just use discord.

I dont do it often but this does add another element for me, at least for a lil while.

Like giving false I for to the ft as the pred.
Its dirty, but mostly it’s just funny.

It’s kinda weird for me tho seeing that a few ppl who play ft want it removed.

Adding new missions would definitely go a long way

I feel for pred it wouldnt be hard to implement, but kinda tricky for an accurate ft one.
But this as well, is a step in the right direction, at least for a ranked mode or something.
